Chester Leather Brogue Shoes

Bought these Loake Chester brogues from shoesbypost, it was a very good price and was expecting factory seconds, but the shoes were brand new and no marks what so ever. The shoes arrived 3 days sooner than expected also.The shoes themselves speaks for itself, they are handmade from the 1880 range of Loakes (premium side), some may not like this, but they are heavier than the rubber soled version, but this isn't a problem for me. I'm normally a size 6.5-7 and the chesters at 6.5 is a perfect fit.The shoes are boxed and each shoe wrapped in its own felt bag (like barkers), but that's all you get. The Tan is of a very nice finish and hand polished of a high quality... you can certainly smell the polish once you open the box!Have taken a couple of quick photos while writing this review. Will upload some more in a later update.

I buy these for dancing shoes on the soul circuit because they have leather soles and heels and are very good quality. They do take a bit of breaking in but once they are they are very comfortable. I try to never wear them travelling to the venues and change once I'm there to make them last longer. I personally would not wear leather outside cause they are slippy and not water proof. However, they do look the biz so if it's leather you want then you would love these.

These Loake's Chester Brogues are superbly made, ultra stylish and are essentially future proof in terms of design and materials. This timeless quality is central to the Loake's look and apart from the leather soles, will not need to be replace for many years to come. They are great for work (I wear them with suits) and leisure. Take care with the leather soles - they will need to be slowly roughed up to prevent slipping. Would recommend the colour to anyone.

Bought these for my wedding. I had tried on a pair in a shop so I knew they would fit. the quality of Loake's is absolutely outstanding and a huge step up form high street stuff, so although expensive, there is a commensurate increase in the quality, as you would expect. In addition, they can be re-soled and re-heeled so they should last for years.

Excellent price for these shoes you rarely see them with much discount. Price made me suspicious of quality, condition but no need, I've not noticed any problems at all. Great shoe, like most loakes you are best taking a half size down from your usual size

Absolutely fantastic shoes delivered amazingly quickly. I'm a size 9 and took advice from a number of online reviews saying these shoes edge on the slightly larger size. therefore downsized a half size and I'm glad to report that they fit me perfectly. One very happy customer!

Good quality, well made shoe - require patience to "break them in" if you want to avoid blisters - I wore mine around the house on alternate days until they were comfortable enough for normal outdoor use.Equally appropriate with jeans or a suit - highly recommended.

Arrived promptly, fit perfect , stylish , superb quality . These shoes have pride of place in my wardrobe, along with 2 pairs of Loake Chelsea boots , worth every penny. Seriously you’ll never buy a better pair of shoes !

Il colore però è più chiaro da come si vede in foto. In foto sembrano mogano scuro invece risultano decisamente più chiare. Ottime scarpe comunque. La qualità si percepisce immediatamente

Habe mir diese Schuhe bestellt und das sind einfach schöne Schuhe. Die Verpackung ist toll und auch die beigeliefterten Samtschuhsäcke. Hohe Qualität, schneller Versand.Mir waren nur die Schuhe etwas zu groß deshalb musste ich sie umtauschen.Ab jetzt nur noch mehr Loake!

These shoes are not cheap, but they are excellent quality. They are some of the finest shoes I have ever owned, and so I feel they were worth the money. They fit well and were comfortable right out of the box; I didn't find they needed any break-in period (although I was careful to wear them only a few hours a day initially, anyway). They look good with anything from jeans to a navy suit. One drawback (or perhaps just something to be aware of) is that the soles are a bit slippery, but I suppose this is normal with all leather soles.
