I was swept up early on! The author really knows how to keep a great mystery going! I was a little behind in the middle of the book when he got very technical about science related stuff. Somewhat over my head. And the Atlantis thing. A little "out there." But he has great research to support it, but it is highly speculative in our modern era, and quite complicated. Overall, I appreciated the fact that he covered every avenue of the Triangle, all the hoopla, all the speculation, all the history, all the possible scenarios. My husband is an airline pilot and has flown the area over and over with never a problem. Hmmmm. However, if you look at the history of missing ships and planes with never a trace to be found, it begs for more research. But today, few planes and few ships have any problems. Areas in the Bahamas were reported to hold the remains of a vast prehistoric civilization that sank beneath the sea. UFOs and USOs were also frequently reported in the Binini area and other areas of the Bermuda Triangle. In particular, the stories of those who lived to tell are baffling. There are unexplained forces involving electronic drains, radio dead spots, power blackouts, compass malfunction, unusual fogs or flares. Countless theories have been proposed to explain the many disapperances within the Bermuda Triange. The most practical one for vanished ships seems to be environmental (e.g. unusual and extremely sudden winds or volatile weather) and human error. Persistence of unexplained electromagnetic field anomalies at places of most disappearances may suggest transient magnetic vortices there.
