This flash is great. It’s much quicker than my Nikon SB700. What I love most is the rechargeable battery. It lasted an entire 9.5 hour wedding.

I am a professional photographer and has used a lot of different flashes over the years. I kept hearing that Godox was the best but didn't want to spend the money. After my other flash failed to fire at an event several times, I bought this one. I AM IN LOVE. The quality is awesome. The pictures are awesome. The flash didn't fail once. I was worried about the battery life. The info says the battery lasts for 500 fires. I took about 300 pictures and the battery was still at 2/3. I will buy a second battery to be safe though for future events.

I am in love with the Godox flashes & wish I had waited and invested in them sooner, instead of investing a smaller amount in cheaper flashes. My favorite feature is that the battery is locked in to the flash, as opposed to having to plug in 4 AA batteries. Trust me - bumping into objects or hitting yourself hard in the leg with flashes during wedding receptions can cause you to lose your AA batteries all over the floor. Whoops! Leveling up with a single battery that is locked in! My other favorite feature lies within using the dome light diffuser add-on (purchased separately) that magnetically clips on to the flash head. You do have to be careful not to bang in to objects with those, but they really help create more beautiful lighting spread over your subjects. I also would recommend purchasing at least 1 additional battery per flash, especially if you cover weddings.My only "dislike" is that these flashes are a bit heavier and bulkier than my cheaper flashes. Worth the trade-off for peace of mind, though!Thanks for another quality product, Godox!

This is the best on camera flash I’ve ever used with my Nikon Z6. I love the fact that the battery lasts forever, modeling light is wonderful for low light and it can keep up without over heating like my Nikon flashes. Buy the magnetic accessories you will love them.

At almost 1/3 of the price of the profoto A1, this flash is unbelievable! I am a professional photographer and photograph weddings for 99% of my business. It’s really important to have speed lights that are reliable and this one, absolutely, is just that. It’s accurate on TTL and the refresh rate is amazing. Going back to what I said in my first sentence, - this is an incredible deal but more importantly an incredible piece of equipment - and a must have addition to the camera bag for both beginning and established photographers. To be honest I wasn’t expecting much (quite frankly based on price) but I wasn’t just pleasantly surprised, I was/am excited about how amazing this particular flash is! Def consider purchasing this!!! It will not let you down.

I needed a reliable flash for weddings. I had a destination wedding in southern France that I could.not.mess.up.I had bought 2 Nikon SB-5000 flashes and the dang things froze up on me at a wedding so I knew I could not trust them at a much larger event and I was getting sick and tired of how fast they blew through batteries (the battery pack for them crapped out on me).I bought the Godox V-1s on a recommendation from a friend who I trust. I was so happy with them the first test we did that I ordered more batteries and have never looked back. These things performed through every event since like champs. Absolutely love them.

Excellent battery life, easy to operate especially in high pressurre situations

I have just bought Godox v1 and am very satisfied with the product. Its a versatile flash and AK-R1 kit is cherry on top. I would highly recommend getting the AK-R1 kit. The flash head rotates 360 degrees which is a handy feature while clicking pictures. The recharge time is around 1.8 secs which is okay for most situations. I clicked quite a few photos in a darker setting and I am really pleased with the results. If used the right way, the photo looks quite natural and its hard to tell if a flash was used. Quality wise there is just one small niggle - there is something rattling inside which was present in the first piece I got. I ordered a replacement for that and the second piece too has it. I've decided to live with it since it doesnt impact any functionality. The replacement itself was smooth and no questions asked. so 5-stars for that to the seller. The packaging was well done with additional boxes inside so the product does not keep rolling around.

V1 is a professional level speedlight. But a beginner may as well use it with ease if he has some basic idea about flash photography. Modeling light is a boon as it gives a fair idea about the final output. All buttons are easy to use. Mounting on hot/cold shoe is made really easy with the new thumb flip as compared to traditional screw system. Round head may not give a soft light but a more pleasing effect is possible. Team up a couple of V1s with Godox Xpro trigger and AkR1 accessories one can have a fairly complete studio system. V1 has inbuilt receiver compatible with godox triggers. It is indeed a good sturdy product. It can compete any of the best models from Nikon or Canon stables. Worth buying.

Well i just purchase this product after having seen round head flash uniform light spread and the option to mount AK-R1 in a much cheaper price than Magmod. Prima facie, it is an excellent flash with quick button option than V860ii. The magnet power in its round head is sufficient enough and the items in AK-R1 kit hold it very firmly. The build quality is very good and the recycle time is around 1.8secs in 1/1 power. Also it has the option to scan the best channel for wireless connection. Overall satisfied
