Sacha Buttercup Setting Powder – Medium to Deep Skin Tones Translucent Loose Face Powder, Flashback-Resistant, Oil Control, Long-Wear Matte Finish (1.75 oz)

This powder is so fine, the quality is great, has my face feeling soft and smooth and looks filtered. This is not the first time using this setting powder, I usually buy the deeper one but my skin would get lighter on cooler days and tan during hot summer days so I have both now. This is now my go to setting powder.

I was soooo afraid when I saw the negative reviews about reactions to the powder....I have somewhat sensitive skin. I decided to give it a chance anyway because of all the GOOD reviews and all the "youtubers" who seem to swear by it. I've used it only once so far (Saturday night, it's now been 3 days that I've been makeup free) so far, no type of reaction. It's not over bright like a lot of setting powders and doesn't leave me looking ashy. Update : After about about a week if use, I did notice a slight irritation, small itchy bumps and more breakouts. I was worried that was caused by the powder so I have stopped using it for now. Once my skin kind of gets back to normal, I will try it again. Then I'll know whether my skin was acting up or if I might Be experiencing a bad reaction to this product. I've taken my rating down from a 5 star to 3 star in the meantime. 2nd update 5/01/2018: I started using the powder again. I stand by my first assessment. I've been using it now for 2 or 3 weeks and I haven't had any new outbreaks. I love the flawless finish I get. Back up to 5 stars 😀 Final update 9/16/2018 I've used this powder every weekday since my last update in may and I've experienced no issues. At all. Extremely satisfied.

I love this product it is very potent and it's legit the color of butter or butterscotch while applying but once its blended it's like a beautiful highlight. And it lasts for HOURS.

My review is only 4 stars because I have yet to get the look I see other women achieve with this powder, yet I am still learning,.. Anyway, I was looking to purchase BN Banana powder when I found this product read the reviews, thought on it read again purchased a drugstore Dupe which was Ehhhhh, then decided to give this a Go! I was extremely concerned when some reviewers post this powder broke them out, my second concern was if this would be to yellow for my skin tone. I have acne prone sensitive fair skin. And I've turned to makeup to hide my scars, hyperpigmentation and any breakout that may occur as my acne is hormonal & unpredictable. I was very pleased when using this product didn't make my skin red, itchy, or dry (all signs of allergic reaction). Even tho I wear UD All Nighter Foundation I still put on a very light undereye concealer & this powder to BAKE. the product melts n blends into my skin beautifully as I lightly press the powder over my concealer.. half the time I never dust off the excess (if there is any) As a woman who never had acne growing up getting it as an Adult has been a big confidence killer. But with many youtube videos, the right products & practice I am able to take selfies with confidence again. All the while working diligently to resolve n control my acne problem. I'm actually happy I've given this product a try. I use it sparingly so the jar will last me awhile..... I'm working towards that flawless face and I couldn't be more content presently thank you SB!

Where has this powder been all of my life?! I thought it was just YouTube hype, but nope, this powder is the BIZNASSSS!! I use different formulas of foundation depending on what I'm doing that day. If I'm photographing a wedding outside in the heat, I wear a liquid waterproof foundation. For everyday wear, I use a stick foundation. I tested Buttercup during a wedding on a pretty hot day where I tend to "glisten" (boys sweat, girls glisten ) and thought for sure that I had wiped most of my makeup off by the time I got home 10 hours later. Nope! I walked through the door and my guy said "You must have had a really easy indoor wedding." Aside from my lipstick, ALL of my makeup was right where I'd put it over 10 hours before....including my highlighter! Since I get a little oily in the T-zone, I did blot about half way through the day because I felt "glistening" going on. I was really surprised at how well this powder kept everything in place and looking fresh. It's not drying at all and leaves my skin looking and feeling very supple and healthy. It's great with my stick foundation as well. My friend took a few photos of me using a professional flash on my camera during the wedding reception and there wasn't any flashback. Good thing I blended well! It's so smooth and blends VERY well! I blended mine with an oval brush and a regular powder brush and while I personally prefer my oval brushes, it went on well with the regular brush, too. I'm not sure how well the compact version would work, but since I don't like to travel with a container of loose powder in my bag and would like to have a more convenient way to carry it, I MAY have to give it a try.

I've been using this for years, and it continues to be one of the few makeup products I always repurchase. It sets my makeup beautifully without looking heavy or cakey. I have medium skin, and the Buttercup shade blends in well, brightens the under-eye area, and helps control shine throughout the day. It gives my makeup a smooth, natural-looking finish and doesn't leave a noticeable white cast in photos. A little goes a long way, so one container lasts quite a while. After years of using it, I can confidently say it's a reliable product that consistently performs well. If you're looking for a setting powder that keeps your makeup in place and gives a soft, flawless finish, this is definitely worth trying.

Got put on this product by a makeup artist years ago and it’s been my go to ever since. It’s perfect for my skin tone since I have gold undertones. And this product lasts for a while. I mean the last time I bought one was a year ago.

J'ai vu que cette poudre était populaire pour les peaux les plus foncées. Personnellement, j'ai la peau très claire (surtout l'hiver). J'ai acheté la couleur "Buttercup No Color" et j'en suis ravie. J'utilise la méthode coréenne pour les soins de la peau qui rend la peau magnifique, mais un peu brillante. Avec cette poudre j'atteins la quasi perfection. Elle rend ma peau juste assez matte pour un look vraiment naturel. Juste Wow!

Honestly, a good velvety baking/setting powder for warm golden-olive undertones I use and for a general idea I'm mac studio fix fluid foundation nc40.

I absolutely adore this product!! I have been using this setting powder in shade Buttercup for years and have never been disappointed with the quality. It’s great value for the amount of product you get; I use it to bake my face and it has always done the job. I’m Indian, and around a medium-brown complexion. I have neutral skin— not dry, not oily. The shade buttercup is great for my skin, but I cannot attest to how it is on other tones and complexions. Overall I would say it’s completely worth giving this product a shot to see how it works for you! I will definitely be repurchasing this once I run out.

Okay, so I live for these makeup reviews!! So I'm gonna keep it real with you~! For shade reference, I currently wear the Fenty Beauty concealer in 255 and like 2 years ago I went to Mac to get my shade range and they told me I was an NC 40, so there's that. After reading reviews and watching video's online I feel like if you're around my shade get the lighter version of this rather than the original. This in itself is REALLY yellow so I was afraid it would have made my face so yellow (but that was not the case at all)! I previously had the Makeup Forever HD Setting Powder and it SUCKS! Personally, it was so thin, left a REALLY bad white cast, and I feel like it even took the effects of the concealer away (like made my red spots more apparent after I set it). PRO's: -Doesn't leave a white cast!!! :) -Has a really smooth finish -Gives a really set finish whether you leave it on for 1 or 2 mins or you bake with it for like 10 mins. -I feel like it compliments my concealer and doesn't make it extra light (unlike the Makeup Forever) -I'm glad I purchased the lighter one as the yellow one would have been way too dark. -It IS $24.99 but they give you A LOT (1.25 oz), I won't have to repurchase for like months down the line. Con's: -Can be very messy. (If you see my pictures) I just opened it for a quick second to take a picture of the inside and little powder specs already got on the table. *Honestly, most loose setting powders are like this so you can't really help it.
