First, in response to some of the less positive reviews, this tag is intended as a pest deterrent, not to eradicate an already existing infestation the way as do the more expensive prescription meds.Next, I've been using this tag on my labrador for two years, and just purchased the third, and I'm extremely satisfied with the results. We've had no flea infestations even though we live in a generally problematic area. Not that I haven't seen ANY fleas on him, however. Pointedly, I have seen over the period of two years probably a sum total of six to eight fleas that were found during flea combing sessions, which I continue as an added precausion during high risk seasons. I should note these other precausions I continue to utilize: Diatomaceous Earth spread in yard periodically through summer and autom months, natural flea and tick repellant spray periodically during high risk seasons, plus while I allow my dear dog to run free in our yard, I do not allow him to run free in wooded areas, instead he remains on a leash and within cleared paths during adventurous hikes and walks. Further, it might be helpful for some to know that the reason I switched from vet prescribed flea and tick meds to this more natural solution was because my dear dog began experiencing seizures, but since the switch he has not had one major epileptic seizure or episode. Finally, there is one thing that while fairly insignificant it should be noted as a small inconvenience with this product.The O-ring that comes with the tag is of little quality. It catches on blankets and carpets easily pulling and bending out of shape, exposing the tag to possibly falling off and becoming lost. Therefore, I suggest purchasing different O-rings for securing the tag to the collar. I do this and it works out much better.

Save your money and read: My dog still got ticks and fleas, even with limited outside activity, a clean yard, and other preventative measures. We followed the tag directions. Did absolutely nothing.

When I read about all the quantum mechanics and vibration mumbo jumbo .. I was a little skeptical ,, but I tried this out anyway because I believe in trying the most natural route before all our chemical crap we use in the U.S.Well.. I have a Black mouth cur, medium length hair , is in the woods pretty much daily here in Michigan , major tick season and he’s been wearing this tag for a few months now , we never take it off , and so far , between him chasing deer and squirrels through the dunes and woods ,,, not a single tick .Not even one we’ve had to remove or even seen in his fur , also no fleas . I don’t know what kind of magic fairy dust this is made of , but it totally works .Update: this tag is irreplaceable. Now we have 3 dogs. Nicky, our first dog (the brown one) that we initially tried this on has been wearing his for 7 years now, NO problems!! Charlie , she’s 4 , also has been wearing hers , no ticks, no fleas in her thick fluffy fur except for one time on her nose, but otherwise , she’s had no ticks either .Now Steve, our newest addition, ZERO ticks all last year and we take these guys to tall grass , woody areas , they are all over the place , they run through the most tick potential land and brush and woods, and no ticks.I’m so glad this is available instead of all the stuff that gives your dogs seizures. I’m so thankful for this company!! I’ve recommended them to everyone and all the friends and family I have that use these have the same success .

UPDATE: years later I am still using these and still so happy. One note though, the ring they send with it is flimsy and terrible. I have lost two of these early over the years and had to repurchase. The company needs to send better rings with it so you don't have to purchase those separately.I purchased two of units, one for each of my medium sized dogs. I live in deep North East Texas (piney woods) in a terrible flea and tick area. I held off on reviewing this item for almost full year to evaluate how well it works during all seasons. It is absolutely the best flea and tick preventative I have ever used with my dogs. I have enjoyed the company of indoor dogs who go in and out via a dog door for many years now and have tried everything available from vet prescribed to herbal (natural) preventatives. I followed the instructions and put these on my dogs collars 2 months prior to flea season. I could not be happier. I witnessed my dogs scratch a handful of times over the last year and examined the puppy dog immediately finding no fleas. I did find one tick on one dog's head during the summer. I am getting ready to order two more tags before the next Spring and Summer seasons here since the packaging says it works for one year. I can't say enough about this product.By the way, I didn't receive these free. I purchased them both because I was searching for a more natural remedy that actually works.

we absolutely love these flea and tick tags! we have gotten them a few times for our three dogs and i haven't seen any pests on them since. we love that these are nontox and don't require us to remember when the last time we gave them flea and tick medicine was. We have traveled all over the US with our pups during all seasons and they are usually found frolicking through the woods or tall grass and creeks. I used to expect a few ticks to be on them, but they haven't had a single one in years. We keep the tags on their collars which they are wearing all the time except overnight since the longer they are in contact with the tag, the more effective it is. We have one super tiny dog, one medium size with thick fur, and one extra large dog with long fur and have found that the one tag works just as well for all sizes.

Unfortunately, did not work for my dogs. They've been wearing the item for months. Still get fleas if I don't apply the chemical crap 😔
