Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint in Assorted Colors (2 Ounce), 20504 Black

I bought a ton of colors because the price went way down. I'm not going to review them one by one, so here is a collective review for all the Apple Barrel paints. I've used this brand acrylic paint for over 20 years. The paint is awesome. I believe it's mostly non toxic, tho I would advise against eating it. The colors are vibrant and stay that way. I have rocks that I painted 10 years ago that still look great, even some of the ones that were outside! I just recently began crafting with polymer clay. This is a new medium to me and I'm having a lot of fun with it. Sometime pieces need to be painted so naturally I grabbed my Apple Barrel paints and went to town. The paint sticks to the polymer clay great! It looks really good too. I will attach a picture of some miniature food I made for my dollhouse out of polymer clay and was painted with Apple Barrel paint. The ruler in the picture is centimeters. There's pretzels, croissants, bread, and crackers in the picture. I really appreciate all the colors this company offers as well. I know you can mix your own colors but this is so nice to have it already mixed in a bigger quantity than one time use, esp if you're like me and want to come back and paint something else the same color, you don't have to worry about matching the color if it's all from the same batch. And at the time of this writing, a huge majority of the colors are at such a great price you really can afford to get all the colors you need. When you're done working on your project, clean up is real easy with this stuff as well. I've never had to use anything stronger than just soap and water to get it off my hands. I have found this paint definitely will stain clothes, so make sure you don't wear something you don't want stained forever! As far as surfaces I painted on, I just lay down newspaper or a silicone mat and there are no problems at all with cleanup. *This is just for the defective bottle: I have used Apple Barrel paints for 20+ years and I usually get A+ product. This one either was bad product or a defective bottle, or both. It was obviously packed after it already started leaking. None of the other bottles in the entire package had issues at all - just this one. Picture is attached so you can see. Other than this I really think Apple Barrel products are fantastic and definitely highly recommend. I didn't bother with a return because Amazon actually wanted me to drive to the UPS store to return it... A 50 cent bottle of paint. It would've cost more in gas to drive to the place. I'll get over it. It was only one out of more than 20 bottles I ordered to have an issue.

Just your basic acrylic paint, nothing special really. It’s great if you’re on a budget or a beginner! I used these when I just started off painting, and you get what you paid for. It’s not the highest quality of paint but you can make amazing art with it. I do have to say that if you never use these before they are pretty watery, there’s nothing wrong with that but if you want a thick paint this really isn’t it, since these are pretty cheap they aren’t going to be thick. Also, if you don’t use these in a while or you had them for a long time they do clump up. But other than that I think it’s a good paint to start off with, it’s not hard to use.

This paint is wonderful. The colors are vibrant, adheres to canvas well and coats evenly/smoothly Dries quickly and doesn't fade. Price is a good value too.

Beautiful colored craft paint.. Its matte but has an eggshell-like sheen in the right light. Adheres well to sanded wood surfaces. Scratch resistant after just a couple coats. Cant review long term durability but it seems promising. Some paint you just immediately know is useless and doesnt feel of good quality (this is not that). This has a smooth yet thick viscosity to it - spreads & brushes nicely..

This is one of the best paints I have EVER used! It is a perfect size, and its coverage is literally AMAZING! It slides smoothly, and it doesn't start becoming flaky when it dries. It dries very quickly, maybe in 1-2 minutes. It works amazing for a canvas, and wood, and with every other acrylic paint it isn't necessarily suitable for painting on paper! I would really recommend this, because its price is wonderful for the product.

Absolutely obsessed with the Apple Barrel Green Shamrock Matte Paint! 🍀 The color is rich, vibrant, and goes on so smoothly with amazing coverage. It dried quickly with a beautiful matte finish and worked perfectly on my craft project without streaking or clumping. I only needed a couple coats for full color payoff, and it looks even more expensive than it is. If you love bold greens for DIYs, holiday decor, or farmhouse crafts, this paint is a must-have. Definitely buying more colors from Apple Barrel! Easy to use, beginner friendly and small, portable easy to use design. So much fun!

The brand says it all apple barrel is one of the top paints to use for crafting in serious art projects. The driving drying time is quick. The quality is superb. The appearance is very vibrant. Ability is very easily accomplished and obviously it’s very portable. I get these on sale and I stock up. You can’t go wrong with apple barrel.

Not happy with the quality at all. I have purchased non expensive paints for other retailers and it was fine. But this one had poor quality.

Don’t bother used a few coats and placed in direct sunlight but still didn’t glow in dark couldn’t even see it waste of time & money but can’t return as I’ve opened & used it 😒

I really like it.. the problem is not late shipping. Other wise paint is really good

I used the paint on Styrofoam to make bases for my Christmas village. It works as I expect it to.
