The Blumat Bulkhead Fitting is a universal 8mm through-hull connector designed for easy, leak-proof installation on rain barrels and reservoirs. Just screw half on the inside of the tank, the other on the outside. The nipple connects to the standard Blumat 8 mm water supply/feed line. You can either start with one of these bulkheads, or a Blumat pressure reducer--either of these fittings will "start" your Blumat watering system.
These bulkheads will work flawlessly with your Blumat Watering System. They are easy to install, durable, perfectly fitted for other blumat equipment, and can instantly turn any container of your choice into a perfect blumat reservoir. These can also be used with drip irrigation lines and many other kinds of irrigation equipment. As long as you have 8mm tubing to attach to the nipple this bulkhead will do the trick.
We use these on rain barrels, 5-gallon buckets, plastic totes, 55-gallon drums, and every other water vessel/container that you could imagine!
After installing one or two, you'll be ready to run your Blumat system.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: this works with 1/4in tubing right?**
A: No, it's designed for the 8mm tubing that comes with Blumat kits and is the size of the tees that come with each Blumat carrot. We do have fittings though that reduce from this to 1/4."

**Q: Can I use this for drilling a hole in a 5 gallon bucket to make my own water reservoir, or do i need another connector to attach to this on the bucket**
A: This is all you should need - you unscrew the left half and it with the washer go inside the bucket, the right side on the right.

**Q: Does it come with 1 or 2 adapters?**
A: This is just the single bulk bulk-head fittings, if you buy our buckets which comes pre-drilled, those come with 2.

**Q: What size drill bit should be used?**
A: 1/2 inch, you could use a hole saw but I would prefer a unibit which can be found in the electrical section. It makes a much cleaner cut than the hole saw.
