Wonderful vent fan
Used as an addition to an existing fan over my built in oven. This fan works so well that I disconnected the existing vent fan and just use this one. It is much quieter now in my kitchen.

Works well, not particularly quiet
I had an old cheap booster fan that failed, so was looking for something of higher quality. This fan looked good so I bought it and installed it today. It feels very high quality and I really liked the way the bracket is installed first, then you install the fan into the bracket. Makes it easy to get everything aligned and mounted. On high speed the CFM into the bedroom is tripled, and on low about doubled, so that is good, and somewhat better than my old cheapie booster fan which about doubled the CFM. I was also hoping for a reduction in noise compared to my old fan, but it is about the same. The noise sounds less unpleasant (somewhat lower pitched), but still pretty annoying. I may try going to a speed control if I can reduce the flow and still keep the bedroom cool. In fairness to S&P, they suggest long runs of flexible duct or duct mufflers to tame the noise, and I have done neither. Bottom line is I'm not sure this fan was worth the extra money, but is is a pretty good unit, thus the 4 stars. 7/14/22 update - runs a lot and still works fine

Push more air into your rooms
Great fan !!! Works a lot better than the ones found at Lowes or Homedepot but also at a 3x higher price. -- Now heating season and increased room temps by 4-5 degrees over the wimpy ones from above stores. Expecting similar for cooling season. (????)

No warranty!
Amazon does not honor the 7yr warranty in the description. The manufacturer will not honor the 7yr warranty, as it is purchased from a 3rd party. If you want this fan to be under warranty, go to the manufacturer.

Very good product
Installed in the basement for ventilation. Easy to install. Works great.

Very solid and powerful unit. Installed as a replacement for a noisy wood stove fan (Lopi Leydon)
Wood stove fan (included on stove) was always annoying in the same living area that the stove is in. It became worse over time as the sheet metal started to vibrate more and was not able to quiet it down with shims, etc. Decided that removing the fan and placing it with an S&P unit in the basement below was better. Connected the air flow with 6" duct to pull cool air from another room floor register and deliver it to the existing stove air shroud system. Functionally a great solution. Pluses: power / solid / easy to mount / quiet (with revised ducting) / VG tech assist from S&P for final adjustments to resolve fan noise. Minuses: when using a variable speed rotary control, an objectionable hum is an issue for me with reduced speeds (normally do not need to reduce speed anyway) / replaced sections of 6" metal duct with flexible insulated duct to isolate fan noise. The flex sections were installed on either side of the fan. The difference after this revision was huge. WOULD RECOMMEND PURCHASE - JUST INCLUDE FLEXIBLE / INSULATED DUCT FOR OPTIMUM NOISE ISOLATION

Works Great
Love the results, I use this in my laundry room where my cats liter box is kept, (I have multiple cats). My husband installed it with a low, medium, high fan switch, we have it running on low all the time, white noise is minimum, did have to run electric. Awsome.
