S220-T8 Eight Channel Thermocouple Data Logger with External Power Supply and 3 Points NIST Traceable Certificate, Measuring Range -200 to 1800°C

It's rare that I get a product that is better than I thought it would be - but this is a great example. It is very easy and intuitive to use, hardly needing an instruction manual. Logging data requires a simple button push of the LOG button. "LOG" is displayed on the screen and you can't accidentally cancel logging. Minimum sampling interval appears to be 4 seconds (even if set to 2) and it can record more than 24 hours at this rate. I retieved the PC interface software from Omega Engineering. The graphics are in color and very well presented. You can label each channel (prior to recording) so the graph interpretation is stand-alone. It has a (non-rechargeable) 9 volt battery and can be plugged in for extended recording. The only inconvenience is that the thermocouple plugs have to be 8 mm in width rather than the more common 10 mm. Having completed all of our testing now, I'm very happy with this unit!

So far, so good. I’m using an AC adapter to power the system, so I won’t comment on battery life. Temperature readings are in agreement with other systems I use. It took only a few minutes to learn the software.

SEE UPDATE BELOW- This datalogger arrived with a green 'QC Passed' sticker on the side but QC must mean something different wherever this came from. The power supply does not work & on battery power, there is no response to any button press. Fortunately it is permanently ON, not OFF. In addition, the spacing of the female TC plug connections on the top is too close to allow standard mini TC plugs (including the one provided) to be plugged into adjacent slots, limiting the total to 4, not 8. UPDATE- I contacted the Seller, Zeolite International & they could not have been more helpful. They immediately over-nighted a new unit to me that works perfectly. They believe they had a bod lot of units come in from the manufacturer. This thing now works perfectly & is doing exactly what we needed.

There is no "3 Points NIST Traceable Certificate", it is not working ... do not waste your time

Works great for what it is! Was able to log, see min, max and current temperature readings. Does exactly what the manufacturer claims!

Not bad wish you could modify the probe titles

I was pleasantly surprised on the ease of use. Setup was very quick and the LogPro software furnished with the unit was intuitive. Customer support was very responsive answering a question I had concerning setting the sampling interval. Since my application requires the use of 6 of the 8 available recording channels, I did need to purchase additional thermocouples since the unit only comes with one. All in all, a great purchase.

The unit I'd received had 3 channels (4, 6, 8) that wouldn't display the TC's temperature; all 3 always indicated 474F. The software, if you could find it (I had to e-mail the manufacturer to get it), was non-intuitive and didn't work well.
