Glacier Glove Boonie Hat with Shade

This hat works good although the neck flap needs adjusting after putting it on. That's my only gripe. It's totally washable. I think it says to hand-dry but I just put it with my clothes in the washing machine and dryer and it still keeps its form. The strap comes in handy when it gets windy. I'd usually just use an umbrella but when it's windy and you are in a crowded market you can't use an umbrella. It protects my neck, it's comfortable, and it's washable for when I sweat a lot in it.

This hat does the job, the peak + brim of the hat doesn't really extend out enough, good enough to stop the sun from shining on the eyes. The back flap tends to blow around in the wind a lot and doesn't come around the neck enough. For around the house and light walking I think it's good, for long hikes in the sun, I think larger peak + brim would be better.I'll keep the hat, but this isn't a buy-again if I lose this one.

This hat is a bit too small for people who have a large head like my husband. But for average size head people, it's the best outdoor hat ever. It's truly breathable in a warm weather. You don't feel sweaty where the rim touches the head. The fabric feels cool unlike other sun hats I've bought. It's light and comfortable for all day wear. Color is the right Khaki color, not like the picture shown (not pinkish). I wore it to the zoo and safari park trip for 3 days and it really was amazing how well it works. Would buy another as a gift for outdoor-loving friends.

This hat is very versatile. I wear it kayaking and hiking. It can get crunched in a suitcase. Washes up easily from sweat or river water. I have had some brisk winds hiking and have not lost it yet. Color is light so it reflects light nicely. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a had with nice shade and cool.

The rear flap that is supposed to keep sun off my neck is so light that it blows up onto the rim of the hat in a slight breeze. I need to fuss with it frequently. Otherwise, the hat is great. Can't argue with the price. Better hats seem to cost much more.

All around a poorly made hat and not inepensive. The flap in the back is a joke and is not really attached to the hat. I have other sun and shade hats that are far better quality. Don't get suckered into buying this. Shop around you can do better. The side doesn't cover your ears. I felt like returning it. But postage from when I live is expensive. I bought it as a gift for a friend who works in the sun. I had to give him different hat because he'd have never worn this piece of garbage. All around I feel like I've been had. Am I allowed to include expletives in these reviews. This is my first ever review and I'm only doing it because with money as tight as it is, I want people to get value and this hat doe not deliver.

This appears to be a nice lightweight hat. Unfortunately, it runs too small for a "one size fits all". Most of these hats will fit heads up to 60cm of circumference or so. I doubt this hat will fit people with heads over 58cm. If you have problems with "one size fits all" caps, this hat is definitely not for you.

The color is actually beige...not pinkish like in the photo. Fits pretty good...(I have a size 7 head)...you can adjust the tightness when you use the removable neck guard. I'm a prospector, so it's very important to have a good sun-blocking hat to keep from getting fried to a crisp in the Arizona sun. The only addition I would make to this hat would be to install a mesh band on top for better ventilation. Otherwise, a good sun hat for the money.
