Good wool blanket
Good blanket. Shedding is minimal. The color is true to picture. And the blanket is very big. Sleep quality would be good. Not sure about the cotton content. I had to wash the blanket in a tub where a lot of the green dye came out (this did not effect the color), and it took a few washes to get the water clear.

Warm and comfy
It’s rugged and warm. A little scratchy but that doesn’t bother me. It does have a smell but that is from what makes it fire retardant. If you wash it in a washing machine it will shed a lot but it’s wool, what do you expect? To me, this is the perfect blanket for sitting around a camp fire.

This is a working blanket
This blanket material is dense. The weave is tight and fairly compact. It is not very thick, so it is not going to loft up and provide a lot of insulation. It makes a good ground barrier as long as the ground is mostly dry. It is not waterproof, nor totally windproof, but it does provide a fairly effective barrier to the elements, not quite as good as a decent canvas. I use it for a bedroll in moderate weather down to about 40 degrees or so, usually with something a little loftier as a top layer, and wrapped with a good canvas groundcover. I also use it as a seat cover sitting on stadium benches or around a campfire on split logs or on masonry. It doesn't provide much cushion, but it will keep my backside a little more comfortable. This blanket is more utility than comfort, so while it will work on a bed, there are better options for in the house. It is plenty big enough for most folks. I too am 6'5" and weigh about 250 and this is long enough to cover both ends and wide enough to get around me for the most part. It will make quite a suitable cloak or mountain man blanket or anorak if you want to use it for something like that. For a working blanket, this is about as good as it gets.

it works but smells
Product works great it is clearly mostly wool as is regulates temp rather than insulating much like normal natural furs and materials do.The only downside I found was out of the bag is that it has a strong smell, to me like comsoline. I bought this for my motorcycle camping kit, obviously it is too hot to test for warmth here in texas, but so far used it as a throw for the recliner and it seems to shed heat rather than retaining it, indicating it is indeed wool, as this is indeed how wool works, it sheds heat to a certain extent and also retains it to a certain extent. If you are unsure how wool works just think how can a sheep stay warm in the winter yet not overheat in the summer, nature has a mysterious way of working better than synthetic materials.

Much warmer than cotton blankets
I bought this blanket over a year ago, and have used it frequently to stay warm during two winters now- so I feel like I can give a pretty accurate review of it. You just can't beat this blanket for staying warm. As a kid, we had a few of the real wool "US Army blankets". They were always good for staying warm, but they felt like a scratchy Brillo pad on your skin. This blanket is my favorite for staying warm on a cold night! So far, it has been durable and it has stayed together very well through several wash cycles. It is thick material- but not too heavy, much softer to the touch than the old Army blankets for being mostly wool, and it will keep you just as warm for a fair price. I would absolutely buy another one if needed. 5 stars all day long. The only cons: fuzz, pet hair, and lint will cling to it- but hey, it's wool! Nothing a lint roller or trip through the washing machine cant fix. One side note- If washing, I would recommend air drying over running it through the dryer. It didn't hurt mine to dry it, but it did fill up the lint trap which means you are losing some of the wool fibers.

No complaints.
There is nothing to dislike about this blanket. A slight odor out of the package. I did not wash it but I ran it through the dryer on delicate with 2 fabric softner sheets. Hardly any lint or fuzz in the trap.I like the fact it is NOT bulky. Folds up into a small package. I bought this for my star gazing on the patio nights but it ended up on my couch. Well worth the money, I highly recomend it.

Cheap and sheds badly!!
Horrible quality. This blanket started shedding immediately. I washed it to remove some of the odor and it fully clogged up the dryer vent with even more shedding. I've washed it on gently twice and both times it fully clogged the dryer vent with wool. I guess after a few more cycle of washing / drying it will no longer shed since all of the wool will be gone. It's by far the worst green army type blanket I have ever purchased.

Great blanket
Good quality wool blanket. Not smelly, especially after washing. I washed cold, gentle cycle, and ran it in the dryer for awhile on low to fluff it a bit, then finished drying outside. The lint trap did have a lot of wool in it, so I would avoid washing/drying it unless absolutely necessary, but it does soften the blanket and make it less "greasy" feeling at the beginning. Totally normal and acceptable for a raw wool product. The blanket isn't super thick, but nice and warm and fluffy enough. For under 20 bucks, I'm very satisfied - enough that I bought a second one.
