Replacements for a clean tank
The sponges are great for keep the filter clean, but I’ve found that the whole to mount them on the filter is a little smaller than the original which makes it a little difficult to get on and off. Not sure if it was a batch thing or just how they are

It didn't last long
The filter stopped working after a while. Initially it did a good job and I was happy with the filter since my fish fry's were happily growing the tank but the filter stopped working after a while even a deep clean didn't work.

Air pump not strong enough.
The air pump that comes with it really isn't powerful enough to the range of tank size it says. The actual filter though is great but I've had to buy stronger air pump as the one it comes with although silent as stated its not powerful enough. I had to run extra filter in tank until new air pump arrived.

Great filter. Noisy pump
Great sponge filter. Bought to fit to existing aquarium to allow me to establish a quarantine tank if required. The extra filtration can only be a benefit too. The directional outlet allows for a slight jet/movement to be created if perched at the surface level. ***** for the filter!!I bought it with the air pump, the pump is powerful enough but noisy compared to others I've got/had. It'll be adequate for when used on the quarantine tank where noise is less of an issue.

This filter is doing wonders in my tropical aquarium!
Bought this to replace a filter cartridge system that came as part of a starter kit. I ran it alongside the original filter for a week to build up the bacteria within the filter then removed the old filter and water tests have been great since.
