Works as intended! It is a "sound amplifier" so yes all sounds/ranges are amplified but it is a good tool to have.

extremely muffled.Tried multiple environments. Horrible product. Item was not even worth the shipping price and even that was FREE.

It actually distorts the sounds and even at the lowest setting allows far too much outside interference!

The wire is to long

This product is just an amplifier... It brought up all of the noises as well. I am going to pack it into the box and put it into the closet. If you want it I will send it to you for free.

My mom was fitted for a new hearing aid just before having a hip replacement done. The day after her surgery her old hearing aid quit working and she couldn't hear anyone unless they shouted at her - a situation that gets old very quickly. She had to wait five weeks to get the new hearing aid so I purchased this amplifier for her as a temporary fix. It worked well. My mom could carry on normal conversations and listen to the TV without cranking up the volume. She said there was a bit of an echo sometimes but she was thrilled to have it and now has a back-up hearing device should she need one again.I chose four stars because it did not hold a charge as long as it was supposed to - which was a couple days I believe. However, by charging the amplifier every night while she slept, it had more than enough juice to let my mom hear through the day.

I would prefer to give this product no stars. I have two sets of hearing aids and even purchased over the counter items and found this to be the worst one I have ever had the displeasure of putting in my ear. I have completely in the cana hearing aids and also a pair that sit behind the ears. The list price for these items is wrong and they are not the more expensive hearing aids that can filter out wind. sound, etc. I recommend that all readers not be conned into buying these. I would throw away the one I bought since it is cheaply made and comes in a molded cheap plastic case in a light white box. They charge like any other hearing aid and sit in a charging cradle. You can probably find the same if not comparable at a cheaper price. Real hearing aids are designed to work in improving areas where you need it as per the audiogram to bring the frequencies you are needing improvement to bring them into the normal range. When I tried this one on, I immediately noticed it magnified all sound including the noise being that it has a very simplistic sound amplification capability and very little noise discriminators to eliminate unwanted noise. Wearing it while watching TV would not be recommended. I wish I had not purchased this product and do not think it is worth a dollar and hard to believe it competes for real hearing aids. The list price is misleading.
