No go for miniatures, they are bad and they should feel bad about it
So, like a lot of people purchasing these, I paint miniatures with acrylic paints ( vallejo, reaper, scale75, GW). now I have use a huge variety of brushes in my years of painting, vallejo, reaper, GW, raphael, winsor&newton with bristles from hog to nylon to sable. I prefer the series 7 from winsor and newton, but only use those on leader type miniatures, all the others get the other brushes from reaper, GW and raphael. Now, these brushes are kolinsky sable, they spring like it and deliver paint like it, but they do not hold a point, because their construction is garbage. I pulled out the size 3, 2, 1 and 0 to paint up some main line troops who have cloaks, shield, spear and some details. These are perfect sizes for this type of job. I wash them in The Masters brush cleaner to remove whatever is on the brush hair from the factory and sit down. The handle is comfortable and sits in the hand well. When I started it was obvious that the 3 was a bust from the start, would never form a point, so was the 2. The 1 and the 0 showed some promise but could never hold a point for more than two or three brush strokes before they would start to split or flatten. I did not even try the others. These were brand new brushes, not cheap AC Moore/Hobby Lobby store brushes, kolinsky sable brushes. These brushes were were not built well and have a very uneven bristle length and taper arrangement. These issues may not matter for other applications but are an absolute deal breaker for me and my hobby.

Great Watercolor Brushes
I use these brushes for watercolor painting. The shape is easy to hold, the brushes are easy to clean and maintain their shape. Pigment pick-up is excellent. Very pleased

I had high hopes, but...
I had high hopes when I saw detail brushes that were Kolinskies. As a watercolorist, I like working with natural brushes because they hold more water and pigment, and to have a detail brush that holds a lot for its size was going to be great. Unfortunately, they did not perform as expected. When I tested them out on Arches 140# paper I was typically only able to paint a couple of inches before the paint started skipping or simply was gone. When compared to a similar sized, inexpensive taklon brush I had, the cheap brush actually held much more water and paint. I also found that the NicPro brushes did not hold a point well. Several were more round that pointed, and some that did have a point splayed easily as soon as they were not well saturated with water/paint.I will say that I was very impressed with the customer service. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, they very quickly offered to take care of things. Unfortunately, I ended up returning them for a full refund.

Bent Brush, spent after one use
I bought these months before I needed them, and when I did, what a letdown. I do like the ergonomic feel, but the brushes themselves are not very good quality. The #2 brush which I need for a project was bent at an angle, and the three brushes I've used so far lost their shape after one day of very light usage (look at the picture, not at all how a Kolinksy sable brush should look after one go). They might be good for small children or someone with just casual needs, but not for pro use at all. My fault for not having tried them out before the return period ended. Buyer beware.

Mini painters should avoid, they can't hold a point
Welp they hold a lot of paint in the belly, but they can't hold a point to save their lives. Anything bigger than a number 1 is useless for this exact reason, one stroke and it's split into about 40 different strands. Beyond that they are way too soft to do any kind of precise detail work with, and the smaller sizes like 2/0 and below always seem to have one or two random bristles that are longer than the rest.... For the money I should've just grabbed a 1 and 0 winsor #7 or Raphael.

Horrible, no good, very bad brushes
These brushes do not work for me to paint scale models. The bristles are crap for detail work - there are always bristles poking out and many are different lengths so it's difficult to get a good tip. The handles are comfortable, though. I'm repurposing these for dry brushing and looking for better quality brushes. You get what you pay for.Update: They are garbage, not even good enough for drybrushing.

I will never go back to any other paint brush now. I love these brushes.
Ive never bought a high quality type paint brush before and now I know there is a big difference. I am very happy with these paint brushes. They stay in shape and they are easy to work with.

worse than synthetic
one brush had bristles pull out upon first cleaning before i even used them (cleaned as manufacturer recommends). i find myself using cheap synthetics over these. these do not compare to windsor and newton or raphael.
