I'm a male with thinning at the top. I was using non aerosol pumps all summer, having the hairdresser leave more on the top. I made the mistake of getting a haircut at Mastercuts in the local mall, and got scalped. Control Force to the rescue! I've been using Aveda since the Horst Rechelbacher days, and will always enjoy Aveda, even if it creeps into the synthetic Estee Lauder protocol over time. If you've got money to burn, get the original aerosol. It smells like pine, and you can layer for more hold. I can't afford 2 cans, so I got this one, minus the pleasant smell. As the product dries, the smell dissipates. Style memory, 5 stars. Just knowing that your hold is dependable is reason enough to not get big box store garbage product that "everyone else uses." It holds well. After several uses the tip gets clogged but if you take it off and rinse with warm water it is fine. I have used this product for several years and am satisfied with it.

Have been using Aveda hairspray for many years! It holds well without being stiff. It has a pleasant fragrance…not overpowering or perfumy! Lasts a long time too!

I love this product! When it comes to products, Aveda’s product line is solid and the actual product never disappoints. The Control Force hairspray does its job without causing my hair to become sticky and stiff. My hair still has nice soft movement yet holds my hair style. It does not make me look like I’m wearing a helmet. It’s wonderful! The reason for the four star review is due to the fact that after a few uses, the spray nozzle gets plugged and I’m unable to spray the product. The first time I experience this problem, I replaced/purchased another can thinking it was just a faulty nozzle. However, I found this issue to be consistent with each purchase. I did find that cleaning the nozzle after each use by running the spray nozzle under warm water will clear help clear it. However, having to maintain the spray nozzle is a bit high maintenance especially for the price that I’m paying for the product. Because of this problem I have tried other hairspray’s but none compare. I have also found that other may have better spray nozzles but the actual Aveda product is far superior in my humble opinion.

This order was beyond care in packaging With bubble wrap to protect shipment scheduled for delivery from 5/3- 5/9. Arrived today. Great product especially in humid weather.

Wow. It's really expensive, and I've never paid more than £5 for hairspray before, but I was sick of having "helmet head" and crunchy hairspray. So, I decided to throw caution to the wind and buy what was advertised as one of the best hairsprays on the market. I used it today for the first time, spraying only a small amount (after all it is gold dust), at 6.50am this morning before work. Walking between the car park and the building, although only 5 minutes, it was windy and raining both on the way in and on the way home. It's now just over 12 hours later and I haven't touched my hair once. It looks natural and glossy, but has completely held the style in place. I'm incredibly impressed.

If I could give this product a 0 I would! I used it twice and the nozzle now doesn't work!! Total crap.
