Most of the time it just sits on my bureau and I straighten up as soon as I walk by and see it there! However, periodically when my upper back and neck start to burn then I know it is time to whip it out and put it on for a quick refresher course. I'm extremely glad I purchased this item. I just use it at home for 15-20 minutes as often as needed to get back in touch with my determination and to remind my brain what correct posture feels like. BTW- There is hope for you. My chronic back pain was completely relieved by this device. I've never worn it long enough to need the armpit pads that come with it. My back tires out before that happens.
