It's an oil cap
It looks sweet in the engine bay of my 2015 WRX. Far superior looking to the OEM cap. Does it help anything? Doubt it. But it looks good.

Wrong color, received pink!
The cap fits perfectly and has a heavy, well constructed feel to it. However, the cap that I received was not gold, it was pink.
