When an irksome insect invades my home, I reach for one of my trusty zappers and start warming up like Roger Federer for the Wimbledon final. I haven't perfected my backhand just yet, but when I catch one of those little buggers with my forehand, it's lights out for the pesky pest.When I hear the satisfying crack of electricity on contact, I let loose a visceral yell."Not in my house!" I cry as I snap one headed toward my dinner plate. "You must not know about me!" I sneer as I catch one buzzing near the television. "Look upon my power and tremble ye winged pestilence!" I bellow as I catch a pair swarming by the trashcan.Zeus may have his thunderbolt, but I have my dual bug zapper rackets and woe be to any bug that dare enter this house unbidden, for its doom shall be realized herein!(For real, I've had electric fly swatters for years and gone through several models. This one is my favorite thus far. It is effective and powerful. Also, the fact that it has the protective cage so you don't shock yourself, is a pretty great feature.)

Are you playing tennis or killing bugs?If you want to kill flies, especially fruit flies, you want a flat sided bug zapper. Why? Well because they land on walls/ceilings, which are flat. And if you have a flat edge to set against said wall/ceiling, you will have a much better chance to kill the flies when you "swing" at them.You do need to change the batteries often. You will ask yourself how you missed a fly, and then another and another. The red indicator light comes on so you know it is not the batteries, but it is the batteries. Once they lose some juice the swatter doesn't seem to have the same killing power it did, but the light will still come on since that takes just a tiny bit of power. If you notice the little buggers escaping death, you probably need to change the batteries.These are great at killing flies, fruit flies & drain flies.

I am not usually one to relish the sound of bugs dying. I know there’re an important part of the ecosystem but when one gets in my house, especially at night time, all sympathy goes out the window. These bug zappers help me get a restful sleep.Overall, good quality and they do the job with the larger bugs. It’s harder to get gnats and no see ups without looking nutty swinging this around blindly but it helps with evening cardio. I would prefer if it had an on/off switch and if the handle was round to make it easier to handle but those updates wouldn’t prevent me from buying another if I needed one. With updates however, its a 5.

Of the two thati received, only one worked. Because I don't need to use both very often, it only became apparent after several months of owning them. I had to pull out the 'backup' swatter recently and even with fresh batteries it didn't work. But the one that does work is great

This was a great purchase. You get (2) zappers basically for the price of one. They work great, easily dispatching flies, mosquitoes and other small insects. I've even used it on those pesky lantern flies. The set comes with batteries to get you started. The racquets are very light but sturdy. They're held up to my wife dropping them and smacking bugs like it's a fly swatter.The company is great. I had an issue with one zapper that stopped working shortly after receiving it and they replaced it with no problem. "Lars" responded to my email promptly and professionally. Overall it's a great value for your money.

I had bought a different brand rechargeable version of this and loved it. But I found these and they were much less expensive. But they don’t work nearly as well. They are smaller and it seems like the holes in the net are much bigger so bugs can get through and not get fried. I should have returned. Would not recommend.

I ordered these bug zappers so that my husband and I could sit outside at our home backing to the woods. Because the yard is shaded, mosquitoes are out most of the day making it impossible to enjoy the outdoors. These bug zappers are great. Simply swing through the air at the blood suckers, and they are instantly shocked and killed. They are also great for flies and other bugs that get into the house. These zappers are quite effective and come with my enthusiastic recommendation!

I’ve bought a cheaper type of zapper in the past and they do a poor job and don’t last.....the exact opposite of the Ostad Swatter. It is immediately obvious when you open the box that this is a superior quality, stronger/sturdier construction and much more powerful. You can buy cheaper but, quite frankly, I wouldn’t bother.....just buy the Ostad and save yourself the added expense.
