Does this cash register make any sounds?

Yes. Once the register is powered on, the buttons beep when you press them, also when you slide the credit card through, and when the register opens.

We just opened ours yesterday and today the drawer has already lost its spring - it won't pop out. Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks for reaching out to the community. A lost spring just won't do - especially right after the holidays. Please reach out to us at reviews@learningresources.com and let us make things right. Thanks! -Selene

can a scanner be added

20 years ago mine came with a scanner but now my granddaughter is playing with it and the scanner doesn't work I was hoping to buy a replacement but I see they don't come with them any more. It didn't actually ring on the register just had the red light.

does it have a scanner

This is a toy cash register with a calculator built in. That's it. Fake credit card slot.
