I originally thought the product was defective after installing it and not seeing the display come on. However, there's a sticky back to the screen's ribbon cable that has to be applied to the back of the screen before installing it. I don't know why it doesn't just come already applied in the correct spot. Where I placed it was just a touch to high and that was enough to cause tension on the cable and apparently keep a wire or two from reaching the connector. I carefully took it back apart with a heat gun, peeled back the ribbon cable, and placed it at the right position. Before attaching the screen back to the housing I connected the ribbon cable alone and powered it with a battery to confirm that it *did* work. So be careful to lay that ribbon cable low enough to reach the connector on the motherboard. Check the placement before fully installing the screen. You can always (carefully) peel it back up and replace it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ works great if installed right *by A***R on March 15, 2019* works great. seems to be a nice quality screen. not an easy job though. id recommend it for professional installation or a very confident techie. ### ⭐ Didn’t work out of the box *by B***N on September 22, 2019* The screen replacement didn’t even work out of the box. I know that my phone is on and that it works, but this screen did not turn the display on or give any touch feedback.
