decent pit gage
I picked this up to do flange, corrosion and pipe inspections, and was hoping it'd be useful for underwater inspections- flat bar is i believe intended to hold the point, and I Believe this may be hard to do with gloves on getting to the middle of the raised flatbar, but if that bend wasnt there it'd be moving freely with no lock. I have to put a hole in the corner as well for a lanyard for heights and water work- maybe they can work that into manufacturing later on, a pre-punched hole in a corner? will work great for most inspections otherwise.

I gave this item a lower rating more for the product description than for the product itself. The gauge arm can NOT be locked into any position but that doesn't not necessarily affect the product's usefulness. The pivot arm is a rivet, not a thumb screw. Also, the product does not come with any instructions as would be expected.

Love this pit gauge
Love this pit gauge, great in the field. Has a pipe chart cheat sheet and a few other conversions on it. Nice carrying case and fits perfrct in your pocket
