Van Heusen Men's Reversible Leather Belt

Van Heusen Men's Men's Reversible Leather Belt, black/Brown, 32 I thought it was great when it first arrived. Then after 4 months the leather stated cracking at the holes outside of where I attach it. That is lousy reliability. I don't wear it every day, but only for dress occasions. I have another leather belt that I have had for years, and it has never shown any deterioration at all except for the dye fading. By looking at the crack, it appears to me that Van Heusen may have laminated some nice leather over a core of cheap leather so they could call it 100% leather. I expected far better from leather in general and Van Heusen in particular.

Decent looking. The metal hardware feels and works as a quality item should. The belt itself? Well that started breaking down about after 2 months of use. I would have worn out completely if I hadn't be loosing weight. Instead I have cracks in the belt at every step down in waist size since I purchased. A bit better than the Wally World special I had before, but just a bit.I do wear it every workday, so for an occasional use it may be fine.

The belt cracked in 3 places after wearing it just a few times. Stay away!!!!!!
