Hamilton 81520 Gas Tight Syringe, Luer Lock, 5 mL

I've been using Hamilton brand 81520 for 22 years. The do get slippery when wet and break if you drop them even a few inches. They are slippery to handle with nitrile gloves when wet. Best with bare hands for control. When first using them fill with water or soapy water and wet the plunger first then try for first time. You can clean them by immersing the tip in water mixed with a little Alconox. Move the plunger back and forth. Its OK to pull a little vacuum and get some foaming action going. But never NEVER release the plunger after pulling a partial vacuum. It will rapidly suck back in and blow out the end of the syringe. Used carefully these can be used every day for a couple of years before the seal gets too loose.

Terrible quality, especially for the price. It came with all of the "Hamilton" branding and the seal stickers were still on the styrofoam packaging, but when I inserted the stopper for the first time, it broke into several pieces. I never even got to use it with liquid. The fit seemed good on the unbroken part.
