TOMYToomies Wacky Racers Toy Car Set

I was sure this wouldn't work, due to all the negative reviews. I'm not usually the type to have success with a poorly reviewed product, but I was lucky and our toy works great. The cars dont go super far, but they go about 10 inches and are fun and make my little man happy. There is a little gray pole sticking out in the back of each car that you do have to push in before placing the car in the garage or it won't work, so I wonder if some people aren't pushing that in. It doesn't come with directions, so that is entirely possible. We like this toy, it works well, and is a very fun variation of a pounding toy. I recommend this. My only complaint would be the stickers are hard to place and should be put on by the factory. It is super hard to reach back in the garage and line them up correctly. They are not even necessary though.

My 2 year old ADORES this toy! He loves to match the color cars and helmet balls to their garage of course, but his favorite part is whacking them with the big hammer that comes with it and watching them roll away! It does take some trial and error to figure out how to get them to "pop out" of their garage, but once you figure out the "sweet spot" it works like a charm. I will be keeping this one around for sure for any future kids!

This is a very cheaply made toy. The “garage” doors do not stay shut or lock in any way…if you just lightly touch, the doors drop down. The cars will not stay in the garage. It’s very frustrating trying to get the cars inside & close the doors…just does not work. I’m very disappointed & will be returning. I would not recommend this toy.

Garage doors don’t stay closed

Twin grand babies , fraternal, love this toy. They are eighteen months old and were able to set it up correctly and even shared with each other. Really enjoy this gift.

I purchased this for my grandson who is 2 and it was a huge hit. He was biding for the weekend and played with it nonstop all weekend. Great way to practice colors and counting.

The idea of this toy is great, but they missed the mark with functionality. The cars don’t stay in the garage long enough to drop the balls onto them. The doors stick and keep falling off with minimal touch. Not to mention, the cars, balls, hammer, and garage came as if it were already used. Everything was scuffed and scratched. When the package came in the mail, it wasn’t even in an amazon box. The shipping label was placed on the actual toy’s box. It was sitting on my porch, visible for anyone to see what it was and potentially take it. And it made gift giving difficult bc the shipping label wouldn’t come off the box without tearing the toy image off. Poor planning and laziness on shippers part.

This was a gift to my friend's son, who had turned one. Perfect toy as he could get used to 'hard' toys as oppose to all the soft toys he has!

Wir haben das Spiel für unseren knapp 2 jährigen Sohn gekauft und waren doch sehr enttäuscht, dass dieses doch eigentlich so einfach funktionierende "Prinzip" nicht funktionieren will.Die Autos fahren leider nicht mit Schwung aus der Garage, wenn man die Kugel mit dem Hammer auf die Autos haut. Sie bleiben teilweise sogar stehen oder bewegen sich wirklich nur minimal. Ein Wettrennen kommt somit so gar nicht zustande. Ein Fehlkauf!

My nephew loved this toy, purely due to the fact that you get to hammer the top of the toy, and which kid doesn't like to hit things. :o) well worth the buy.
