These led lights have been my favorite.They light up my entire room the length is perfect .Very easy to function.Not hard to set up and long lasting with the correct care.They can also be used on Bluetooth !

I used a gift card to purchase these lights, after much consideration and numerous online perusals through various stores' selections of strip lights, battery-operated lights, and rope lighting. I have a large, beautiful built-in cabinet in the kitchen of my rental home, and was looking for impermanent but effective lighting, as the limited (and fluorescent) ceiling lighting in the room meant rendered said space defunct and unusable, even for display. I decided to purchase the Govee strip lights to place underneath the built-in cabinet to illuminate the counter space below it, and after about ten minutes of prepping the space and applying the lights, I was FLOORED by how beautiful an effect they created. I did not even envision how grand this would look! I am so impressed. - I had no issues removing the strip lighting from the paper backing, nor did I have issues with the strip lights adhering to the painted wood cabinetry. I did not need to use any of the included clips to reinforce the lighting, even for negotiating the strips around corners, I just angled them until they were perpendicular to their original direction. - Although I did not find any confirmation in the included instructions, I WAS able to simply cut the strip light with a scissor, as I had about 18" left after lighting my space. The original portion of the light strip from which I cut it, functioned without issue after being cut. - The remote worked immediately and effectively, and I love that the lighting levels can be adjusted so broadly. There are many gradients of brightness for each of the many colors, which means you'll be able to find just the right ambient shade for your room or space. - The remote does not always work on a first try; sometimes it seems like it needs to be re-oriented. - The light strip does not get hot, or even warm, even after being left on for several consecutive hours. - If the lights are unplugged while on, they will turn back on to the same color and brightness they were at previously, when they are plugged in again. I LOVE this feature. No fiddling with the remote! If you are considering strip lighting and taking a look at this brand, GO for it, especially if the strip light will be hidden behind a TV screen, under a cabinet, etc - it looks like a million dollars!

I bought two of these products. I opened them out from the box and plugged them in into the power source and saw that the colors were corresponding to the remote color buttons just fine. However, once I set my LED's light's up the color began to malfunction. One strip of the color would be red and the second strip would be blue, some of the buttons on the remote wouldn't even correspond to the right colors. It's possible I've received a defective strip. Also the adhesion on the strip isn't strong either! I set them up and saw that the cable would be pulling on the strip til it falls off despite cleansing the walls with rubbing alcohol, they should've added a much stronger adhesion that can withstand the weight of the cable. I also learned that if you buy two boxes of this it won't sync to a single remote, so I highly recommend buying a smart LED instead of the remote version. I'll probably return this product and hopefully get a refund since it didn't meet the standards as advertised. On a positive note the brightness of this product is great! Considering that this brand is pretty popular and many YouTubers have advertised this brand I'm assuming they have great customer service, therefore i'll be reaching out to the their support and service team on this issue, I'll keep y'all updated. UPDATE 7/30/20 Govee offered a replacement as compensation for my defective set, however, I rejected that offer and requested for a full refund instead since I found a better deal this brand offers. They are planning to fulfill my refund. I highly recommend this company since they have one of the best customer services out there and comes with a 12 month warranty for every product you buy from this company!

This light strip is very nice and works great. The adhesion is strong and the installation was easy. Cutting the strip was very clear and did not cause any issues with the light strip. The colors are bright and there are many to choose from. There are also a lot of settings on the remote, some of which I do not understand. The only problem I had was with the remote and receiver. Since they are infrared, they are very sensitive to blockages and distance. This led to me contact customer service. They responded quickly and provided an adequate explanation of the issue I was experiencing. There was nothing wrong with the product, it just a symptom of the technology used in this light strip. For the price, I can live with the remote/receiver sensitivity. Update: After less than a year of regular use, 3 of the LEDs are showing a different color than the rest. If the strip is blue, those three are Green. If the Strip is red, those 3 are Pink. I hope it doesn't get worse.

Bought this in July to mount on back of large screen TV (don't know why). Just go to it yesterday and it was a frustrating day. Nothing wrong with the Govee lights but learning what direction you mount the light when cutting it and using L Shape 4 Pins Connectors to eliminate twists in the lights. I had to go from right side of TV then up and around thus placing the control box on the side of the TV I didn't want. Have to give 5 stars on the adhesive on the strip as I removed the lights several times in my attempts and they still stick well enough to not fall off. The L connectors were very difficult to slide the strip into (and not the stiffer L connector) resulting in ruined pads ton the strip. Finally bent the pins on the connector up so lessoned the chance of mangling the end of the strip. Very touch and go but at no time were the Govee lights an issue and good learning experience if I have to do this again, Only negative thing I have to say is the instructions don't cover the operation between the remote and the control box and I haven't gotten the DIY buttons working.. I assume (wild guess) that the "little" pin hole on the controller has to be visible and in line with the remote to operate. Had to place the controller on top of my sound bar and still doesn't operate that well from across the room of 15' and holding the remote up and pointed directly the pin hole on the controller. Since the controller is white and the only white thing among my TV equipment it stands out a lot. Might eventually paint it black The DIY instructions say to press once and then adjust R/G/B brightness without specifying which one. No where does it discuss the brightness buttons in DIY section and trying to set up the DIY with these buttons do nothing with color. Would like to experiment with these just see if I could find a different color I liked. UPDATE: Still having problems with the remote. I believe it is mostly the distance from the controller. It's only 15' so didn't expect this to be a problem. Have to hold remote up and move it around until I hit it lucky. May look at the tiny hole on one side of the controller to see if it can be enlarged without any damage to see if that helps.

Nothing is perfect, right? The best way to judge a product and its Seller is by what happens when things don't go as expected. From experience, Govee stands by its products when the order isn't perfect. I'll look for a reason to buy from Govee again. I first reviewed this product (64 feet of RGB LEDs) about a week after we installed them, and I gave 5 stars in every category except the Overall Rating, which I gave a 1 Star Rating. Sets of LEDs were failing each day (it was up to 12 groups of 5 lights by the time we received the replacements), and our family was upset that our third try to put up LEDs had failed. My expectations were low; other manufacturers didn't respond to our e-mails, and I unfairly let the past direct my expectations for Govee. I emailed Govee late one night, and by the time I woke up, I had a cordial response from them. We went through a couple of emails verifying everything and sending them pictures of the defective lights up on the wall, a process that went similarly quick. A replacement set was sent, no arguments, no dickering over shipping costs, and no games. All of their claims in the description are spot on. These lights stick to the wall (thank you 3M). There are no color variations as the LEDs get further from the power source. The remote and receiver are truly responsive (no pushing the buttons harder and harder until your thumb hurts), no removing and reinstalling the battery, and none of the age-old universal fix, tap it (knock it) against a hard surface until it responds. The wall mount controls are great and are used to turn on and adjust them 90% of the time. The cords are long enough that you don't need to tape an extension cord to the wall to reach the plug. It's got great features, and these are great LEDs. We will buy more.

My son's favorite colors are green and blue. So you can imagine what the scene in my yard looks like from outside his window. These things are bright alright. So bright it looks like a UFO is sucking my son out of his bedroom. All jokes aside, he got these for Christmas and has attached them to the back of his monitor and underneath his desk where his gaming set up is. It looks completely awesome. I was the one that installed them and the directions make it very simple. The 3m adhesive on the back REALLY ADHERES. I mean it is stuck good. One thing I didn't like was the reinforcement clips for the strips. Those don't really seem to serve any purpose. They aren't made well for what it is intended for. But even so that is not a reason not to buy this product. I love the fact that they are adjustable lengths. You can cut them (using the cut lines printed on them, don't just cut them all willy nilly, you will ruin your light strip). I also love the fact that if you have more than one strip of lights 1 remote will work them all. The only con I see is the fact once you cut the strip of lights to your desired length the rest is basically unusable, unless you want to play electrician like some of these other reviewers seem to be. But even so with the price that they are, it is easy to afford more. You will need a power source. They are plug in only and no battery pack option and what not. BUT again that should not deter you from purchasing these. EXTREMELY BRIGHT, EXTREMELY VERSATILE, EXTREMELY FUN. It makes me want to put them all over my house. I won't, but I want to! :)

Finally took these lights down after 6 years and never had an issue when I had them. They stuck so good though it ripped the paint off with them so not renter friendly! The lights never went out or got dimmer, my only issue was I did loose my controller at some point but overall they were great lights and a fun way to spice up a room!
