Great toy for my ADHD kid who can't stand silence
My five year old was able to figure out how to use this within minutes, no tutorial needed, which was great. It has a lot of great features and for what I paid, around $16, is a fantastic value! I'm really glad I bought it and am happy with my purchase. My five year old cannot stand silence, probably my fault for always having on white noise or Beethoven trying to keep him asleep when he was little lol. But I can't allow him to just sit in front of the TV or other screens all day long. I have been looking for something to give him the noise that he needs to fill the silence, and this is a great interactive option for him. It also doesn't drive me insane like some things I've bought do. I like that it has a couple of games on it, but nothing that is overstimulating or so addictive that he stays on them for very long, just enough to break the monotony. My only complaint is that it didn't come with a power cord and it isn't rechargeable even with a cord. You have to purchase the 6.5 v power cord separately, and any typical 5v cord you have at home isn't going to work so if you don't buy the cord separately, you'll be going through lots of AA batteries.Overall, I'm glad I bought it, and I'm going to purchase the power cord separately since that's my only option. I think though it should be included and I wouldn't mind paying $5 extra for the product for it to include it. I think most people buying this are going to need the power cord for it.

Very easy for kid's to use
My kid's love it. They use it a lot for just the music on it and just have little dance parties. Very simple to use that my 1.5yr old knows how to turn it on go to the mp3 player part and turn the volume up or down. Fun little toy for both my kid's.

Small stick figure showing moves
I thought in today’s technology that the video would be a bit better, I wasn’t impressed with the stick figure dance guy but the kids could sort of follow it

It’s okay
Price was good but the screen is so small that it’s kind of pointless because they can’t see the moves it’s asking you to do.

Christmas gift “Dance Star” has quit working, even with new batteries!!
I need help with this product, but due to the Covid 19, I can not talk with someone about this product. The dance star by Vtech has stopped working. We have changed batteries , and it still does not work. It was given as a Christmas gift to my granddaughter. She has not abused it. It had good reviews , and it should not have stopped working this soon after Christmas . What can I do?

Big hit with 4yo
My 4yo LOVES this thing. I knew it would be popular but since Christmas she's played it for hours and it's not even new year's. I dare say it was THE gift for her this year. Bonus the 2yo enjoys it also.

Really cool toy for siblings or buddies to learn dance moves together
This is such a cool toy. The speaker part of the system has a display with lights and it.even has a handle so your kids can take it along with them. The wrist bands are the perfect size for kids and even adults can wear them. The system plays music and teaches a number of dance moves. The wrist bands can sense how you're doing. You can play against someone or just learn the moves on your own. There is a volume control but it's loud at any volume. The lights give a neat dance floor effe t especially in low light conditions. The best way to store it is to wrap the bands around the speaker handle or else you might lose the bands and I'm not sure you can get replacements. It's fun and interactive, making for good exercise too. It comes with demo batteries already installed, so you don't have to run out right away for batteries.

Needs Improvements
What I loved about this toy is how it encourages kids to move and be silly and have fun without necessarily pushing them to "work out" in a certain way. While I firmly believe that exercise for kids is extremely crucial, I also believe that it should be fun for them as well, and this is a great way to encourage movement among the 5-10 year old crowd. That being said, there are a few flaws to this toy that should be considered before deciding if you want to purchase it. The included watch-style bracelets have to be worn in order to use this and they are difficult to get on and off since they are made out of inexpensive plastic. This is one thing to consider. The moves are also difficult to see on the heavily pixelated screen. The screen would need to be upgraded in order for me to consider buying this for someone in my life.Overall a fantastic idea, and one that I would love to see expanded on in the future, however in this version as it is, I would likely give this toy a miss.
