Adds cruise control to a Tacoma that never had it! Only one hiccup
My 2012 Tacoma did not have cruise control when I bought it new. My local dealer's Service Dept offered to add it for $758. This part cost me $12 plus my labor. Now I have cruise control!Installation is not too hard, but do disconnect your battery to avoid the change of the driver airbag going off. Pop of the little covers on the left and right back / sides of the steering wheel to reveal a T30 head bolt on each side. Loosening those bolts releases the airbag from the center of the wheel and exposes the space where this cruise control stalk goes. The 2 bolts are captive - they stay in place so you won't lose them ;)The one problem I ran into is the wire for the horn button. The horn button is integrated into the driver airbag assembly and its wire goes to a pin socket in 1 of 4 holes in a tiny white connector. The 2 cruise control wires go into that same connector, different holes. My truck never had cruise control, so I had to move the pin socket for the horn wire from its original connector to the new one provided with the cruise control stalk. That's a very tricky procedure. If the manufacturer or seller had provided a new horn wire, already attached to the new CC connector and wire assembly, that would have been perfect and earned 5 stars. As it is, I'm still very pleased to finally have cruise control in my Taco! I just think moving the horn wire between tiny connectors will be a step too far for many DIYers.

Worked for as long as I had the car
Worth noting that in the Australian model of Corolla you need a new clock spring but this thing has been going no problems for over a year and no sign of stopping
