Freshware 8-Cavity Flexible Silicone Large Ice Cube Tray, 2-inch Cubes for Slow Melt and Less Drink Dilution (Single)

I bought this after I went to a bar that served one big square ice cube in each drink. I like the idea of the one cube per drink and this makes the exact same type of ice cubes. They look really neat in a drink and I think it gets less watered down because they are large (2"X2"). My only issue with the tray is that it is hard to get the cubes out, but if you run hot water on it for awhile they come out a bit easier. I would still recommend it as I love the cubes it makes.

Still pretty new so I can't tell you about the durability of the cube tray but it makes nice big square ice cubes that work best in my shaved ice machine. The design is best for cube ice shavers and the size is perfect for the volume I do. Ice comes out easy with little effort but the proof is in the durability so only time will tell. Will change to a five if it last a long time.

Easy to use, no bad taste associated with the final product, and a GREAT way to make slower melting ice cubes (compared to regular/smaller ice cubes). The tray is flexible, so it is advisable to place it on a plate, THEN fill with water, and place the whole tray/plate into the freezer. These cubes are BIG, and just one will fill an average sized high-ball glass. Beware, they won't fit into smaller high-ball/plastic cups. Give it about a 24 hour total freezing time.I use it for a number of uses. Freeze coffee to add to (hot) coffee, in order to cool it and/or make it iced coffee quickly. Also, a great way to keep your cocktail cold without getting watered down.

I got this to experiment with making clear ice cubes. I glued Styrofoam together to make a tray that insulated the sides and bottom. When water freezes from all sides, it traps air and impurities in the middle and you wind up with the cloudy cubes we're all used to. I used purified water and the insulation I made enables freezing from only the top down. The air was pushed to the bottom as it froze. The results were better than just clear. The air formed very fine, eerie tendrils, coming up a little ways from the bottom, that look really cool. I fine tuned the sides by rubbing on a room temperature frying pan.

The size and amount of ice cubes you make with this near perfect and the price is very reasonable considering you are just making ice cubes. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the silcone tray loses some of its shape especially with the inner walls of the tray. A great conversation item to those that don't realize the benefits of a large ice cube.

The product is good quality and seems to be wearing OK. But I just struggle so much with getting the ice cubes out there is no easy way. If I run water over them it makes them smaller. If I try to push them out it's very hard on my arthritic thumbs and. Pretty much feel you feels like giving birth to a baby. Since I do like them I think I will try a smaller size to see if that's easier to get the cubes out

these are great- cubes last forever, little tricky getting used to getting cubes out- stacking them in freezer- they are not rigid so they flex a bit when you fill them up. The cubes last so much longer then regular ice, that 2 lbs of ice from these last longer than 8 lbs of mini cubes- figure that out... its a fact- I put it on amazon..

An excellent option for large cocktail cubes. I've tried the round, but not a fan of the form and I think the square hold up longer/better in real world use. This try could have used a slightly higher edge as getting it from the sink to the frig has some decent spill potential. Overall a good product.

Excellent ice cube tray. Strong enough to fill and carry to the freezer without bending or twisting so you'd end up spilling the water. One cube is perfect for a large glass of any beverage. They are perfect for chilling my sipping rum. The cubes last a very long time because of their size. They pop out of the mold without any problems and there is no chemical or funky smell from this ice cube mold like others. Buy it, you'll love it and throw out all those useless ice cube trays !

After going to a local restaurant my wife ordered a cocktail that came with a GIANT ice cube. Of course she loved the novelty of the giant ice cube and wanted to be able to make them at home when we entertained. After searching local stores for a tray that would produce these mammoth cubes, I came up empty. So I thought, where can I go next? The obvious answer....Amazon. They have everything, and sure enough a very quick search turned up this ice cube tray. It's easy to use, has a flat bottom for easy stacking and the cubes are easy to remove.This is a great addition to your party accessories.

Great quality on making huge ice cubes. They don't melt quickly. Started having that small silicone smell to it but does not taste of it.

The Freshware FI-112BL is a pretty good silicone ice cube tray. I've used it for a few months now.Cubes are a good size and they take a while to melt. Good for any iced drink, especially cocktails or mixed drinks that you don't want watered down too much.Cubes can take a bit of effort to push out of the tray but a bit of warm/hot water around the tray can help with that.Overall, I'm very satisfied with the ice cube tray.
