You *could* design and print your own, but given the quality and reasonable number of sheets in this book, why bother? Spend your time on calligraphy instead!

I got this aa a gift for my sister along with othe calligraphy supplies to help her get started on a creative skill she's wanted to learn a long time. The guided paper is a good quality and she says it helps her judge and practice letter formation

I love love love this paper and practice with it every day. It has trained me to get the perfect slant to my calligraphy which is what I really needed some help with. That is a theory in calligraphy that is tough at first for beginners but this paper really guided me along. I would highly recommend this paper to a beginner and even sent out a few letters to friends and family using it! Calligraphy looked beautiful as an end result due to this paper. I have a harder time without the paper, but thats another story :) I'll get there!

Nice size. Does bleed through but it depends on the type of paint brush pens. Just have to experiment with different types of pens. My biggest complaint is that the paper does not allow pens to flow smoothly . Even tho it feels smooth to the touch, until you start to write do you feel the roughness. The letters show this flaw by not having a smooth, continuous line. PluIs this roughness is hard on the pens. I can already see that my brush pen is starting to fray from this. Otherwise, it's up to the user to make their own opinion.

Love this, what a great value and help. The angled lines are so essential for a bumbling beginner like me. If you're diving into calligraphy as a hobby I highly recommend this for practice and putting down ideas or new creations

I’m a newbie to modern calligraphy and bought this practice pad specifically for the slant assistance, and for that purpose it’s super useful. However, the paper is low quality. It’s rough and toothy, which causes wear and tear to your brush pens, plus it makes the ink bleed, resulting in a blotchy overall look. Was debating between 2 & 3 stars but eventually decided on 3 because of the low price point. For $4.49 I guess I can’t really expect Rhodia-quality paper (which is great btw - super smooth, doesn’t bleed, gentle on expensive brush pens).
