Formula 1 Carnauba Car Wax Paste, High Gloss Shine & Water Beading, 12oz

Good quality car wax, easy to apply, buffs out easy after drying to a haze, great shine and lasts after many car washes. Wax a car the old fashion was like I did in the 70’s when I had my 1974 Pontiac Firebird in the local park blasting 70’s tunes while waxing by baby, nothing better.

I have been using this wax since the 90's, I keep my cars for 10 plus years and the finish always looks like new. No need to waste money on expensive gimmick waxes, this stuff works!

Formula 1 Carnauba Liquid Car Wax High-Gloss Shine It's a great polish that goes on easy and removes easy. It works by hand or when using a buffer/polisher. It has a noticeably high specular value (more shiny) than the Mother's brand I used as a comparison test and also the great Meguire’s Carnauba paste with Polymer additive product. I knocked a star off the because the residue requires additional labor to complete the work but will buy more, it’s a great product that does better than other choices. None of the above products shine as well as Klasse All-In-One Polish, 16.9 oz. brand. So in order of appearance if its really a showcase item, use Klass. It didn’t leave any residue and it's formula hides a lot of problem finish areas without much work. If it's an item you want to just protect from deterioration at a cost savings the above three can all do that, though Formula 1 claims a similar durability to the Klasse products of up to 12 months (sure and eskimos' enjoy snorkeling in subzero temperatures.). But longer is better by whatever the real-world measure ends up being. Klass products are permanently on my list of must-have products for no compromise maintenance of any fine finish. *The Klasse products require a two step process to apply the "all in one" for up to 6 months according to the label then their High Gloss Sealant Glaze available separately for up to one year of protection implying a pretty durable one year coat or a pampered object for one and a half year(s) or defer to the eskimo's opinion. Easy to apply and get off. Works well. Water beads off quickly.

I have tried/used every wax single product stores like Auto Zone and the big box stores sell and I keep coming back to Kit Wax, or as it is now known, Formula 1. Concerned that my favorite automotive wax had been chemically reconfigured I telephoned the manufacturer and was reassured by a company administrator that the only difference was the new name. Well, not quite - they did make that nice, easy to use, application sponge a lot smaller so that today it is about 1/3 the size it used to be. The new sponge is more difficult to use, does not hold up as well and feels cheap immediately causing me to think they had similarly altered the wax composition too. However, as far as the actual wax is concerned I have not found any difference in ease of application, polishing after it is dry which can take up to 30 minutes depending on temperature and humidity, the durability of the wax film, cleaning properties and even the scent between Kit Wax and Formula 1. For all intents and purposes as far as I can tell by actual use and from testimony via a corporate administrator, the Formula 1 product is identical to the former Kit Wax product, except for the much smaller application sponge included with the wax when you purchase the can, not the bottled product which does not include the application sponge. For our use in NW Ohio, I have found the wax to last about 3-4 weeks on our daily drivers that are garaged each night. But, this is predicated on how you wash the car too. Detergents might reduce or totally eliminate the wax film. So, I always wash the car using cold water only. This does appear to extend the life of the wax film and also helps to preserve the shininess of the clear coat. Because the car is frequently waxed, only after it has been cleaned, there really is no build up of dirt/grime etc. I wash the car once per week and because of the wax film, all accumulated grime is easily removed. Interestingly I have found that this product can make a Plexiglass windshield look like it's new, eliminating those accumulated blemishes form normal wear. On Plexiglass the Formula 1 wax makes them sparkle like new and does not distort or alter the clarity of the windshield in any way. I demonstrated this on a friend's aircraft windshield and he was astonished how much sharper and clearer the windshield clarity was after the wax was hand buffed using a terry cloth towel, the same way I buff it on the car. I know almost everyone has their was product preference and how it is applied, etc. No argument there. This posting is just my opinion based on my personal use. Nothing more. Believe it or not, I used Carnauba for my stained glass project. I was absolutely amazed. Who would have thought that car wax would shine brighter than products made specifically to use on stained glass windows. I wish I had tried this sooner!!

I have used Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax for years as it does not leave white residue on parts of the vehicle such as rubber, vinyl and/or plastic parts you may get it on by accident. Meguiar's provides a beautiful shine that rain just beads on. I hand wax my vehicle three times a year. This Fall I decided to try something different, based on the reviews, I tried this Carnauba Car Wax Paste. I wiped it off the areas that I got on by accident right away. As you can see, it beads well, but left residue on rubber around the windows, around my truck bed insert. Weeks later it is still there, I need to re-wash my vehicle and try to remove the residue. I will not buy again and am going right back to Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax.

Great car wax, really brought back the colour of my car. Love it. Easy to apply and buff off, hazy once dried so great to see which areas you have done and still to do. Thick consistency, easy to remove and does not smell. Great tub size, plenty for using time and time again. Good value for money

Love this wax. I’ve decontaminated my car, polished, wipe-down any residue and applied a paint sealant for protection. Added an additional layer using this carnauba wax for that extra shine and it did a great job on my cars paint. Easy to apply as well, just wax on using applicator foam pad in circles or criss-cross patterns in all the panels and let sit for at least 5 mins. Once you see it haze, just grab a microfiber towel and buff off the wax to allow the paint to shine.
