Great for fire department practice!
This is a great vest! I had a really hard time finding a vest that went up to 50 pounds. This is an easily adjustable best with weighted bags that can be inserted or removed. I used this to prepare for the fire department PT test and it worked great! It is comfortable and holds securely to your body.

ZFO 50lbs Adjustable Weighted Vest
Easily adjustable. Nice tight fit while running though it pinches a bit at the bottom. A thick towel around the lower back as padding works well to alleviate this problem. Great product for increasing strength and endurance.

Weight Vest Review
I ordered this vest about three weeks ago and have integrated it into my regular workout routine. During this trial period I have found that this vest holds up quite well to heavy and extended use. With that said, I am concerned about integrity of the weight bags as they do not appear to be of high quality construction. My fear is that the stitching is going to break and I'm going to have a sand box at my feet after a few months of heavy use. Hopefully I am wrong, but perhaps ZFO will adjust the construction of its weight bags to look less flimsy which is the only reason that it did not get a full 5 stars.

Good product, but terrible construction
I actually like this vest, but why do you need to put it together?. It's a vest for crying out loud!. I put enough exercise equipment together, and was kind of disappointed that I had to put this thing together. It comes with no directions. The shoulder straps are easy to figure out but the waste straps are NOT attached to the vest. You got to place it in the right orientation while constantly "fighting" the velcroe which sticks to your shirt as well as everything else, ANNOYING!!!. Why not just attach the waist straps to the vest and tighten it according to your waist?. Why leave those straps not attached? No directions. Very frustrating to attach the waist straps, the velcroe sticks to everything. Overall a good buy, BUT if I knew I had to put it together with no instructions and cumbersome to put on? I would buy another type of vest. A real pain.if you want a weighted vest that you can just put on, adjust and go work out I suggest buying another vest. If I knew this one needed to be assembled? I would have purchased another vest

Great Vest at a Great Cost Point
Overall, this is an excellent vest at even better price for the everyday athlete looking for something to spice up your training. I paid $102 including shipping for this vest, which is very equal in quality to more expensive vests on the market.I use this vest for push ups, squats, and other bodyweight exercises, and to add some extra challenge to day hikes and rucks. Sure, it's not super comfortable; It's a weighted vest and that's kind of the whole point. There are, however, far worse options out there. The vest came in four pieces (front, back, two Velcro waist straps) plus weights, packing slip, and assembly instructions. For those with a service background, the vest is very similar to body armor and takes all of about 90-seconds to put together plus loading the weights, which are 4-pound tubular plastic bags of sand encased in a nylon shell. While I do think that this is a great product, I will say that more serious athletes and Crossfitters might consider paying the extra money and getting a vest with iron weights versus sandbags for overall better load management weight tailoring during sprints and more dynamic exercises.

Comfortable fit
Is my first weight vest, and I am really happy with it. I use it for hill running and for a little at my Crossfit (not too much as I am not a massive hulk lol). The fit is really good, comfortable and only a little jouncing after I snugged the straps up a bit. I don't even notice the small bounce, and I still have more room to tighten if needed. The previous reviews are correct in that the instruction pamphlet is crappy, the problem is that the photos do not show the straps clearly (black on black), BUT.. after I looked at the vest for about 5 minutes, I figured it out. And it is a really simple but effective strap arrangement once you get the hang of it.

Great!
I bought this as a gift and it was excatly as promised.Great quality. The only issue is it was shipped priority mail and the box was falling apart when delivered. Luckily the vest was not damaged.

Exactly What I was Looking For
I admit, it was a bit confusing figuring out how the strapping works, but nothing too difficult. At 5'11" and a solid 193lb, the fit was great for me. Weighted pullups, inverted rows, walking and hiking have been no problem--I haven't actually ran with it yet, but it seems secure enough to withstand the mild jolts of a 7mph pace. Overall, I'm happy with the vest. It does what I thought it'd do and I can't think of asking for anything more out of this product.Revised: I'm still happy with it, however the one minor gripe I have is how the vest digs into your shoulders. The shoulder padding itself is wide and cushioned as is, so I don't want to attribute it all to a design flaw, but after a couple of hours of wear the discomfort in my shoulders is definitely noticeable. Be warned.
