Memorex 01961 CD/DVD Paper Sleeves (White, 100 Pack)

In an effort to simplify my family room and declutter my shelves I decided to get rid of my CD and DVD cases and use sleeves instead. Initially it was a little sad to get rid of all my cases and I wondered if I was making the right decision, but I'm so happy and will never go back. I love these sleeves because I can write on them a little about the movie or CD I'm putting in there. I write the length on the back and sometimes a genre or song list. My daughter gets to decorate the paper sleeves for her movies, which she loves. They fit nicely in the storage case I purchased Snap-N-Store SNS01658 Double Wide CD Storage Box (Black) and take up about 1/50 of the space as my collection did before. The sleeves are just the right size, the CD fits snugly without being too tight. There's also a small U shaped perforation on the back that you can fit the flap into to keep it closed. They did come rubber banded like someone else mentioned, and a few of the outermost sleeves are a little bent from it. They straighten out when they have a disc in them, but they should work on their packaging. Otherwise, the price was great and the product is what it says.

Have purchased these a number of times to store DVDs. Not much to say other than they keep the DVDs from getting scratched, and they are intact and the little window doesn't come out when you're putting the DVd in or out. Good quality, no issues.

Having collected an unusually high number of DVD and CD disks, I needed to protect them. These have come in handy for protecting my media collection. The envelope fits snug around the disk, I have not had a problem with the tabs coming unglued. The window is large and I can see what is written on the disk. The paper quality is light but strong enough to protect the disk and yet will not add extreme amounts of paper in the storage space. I think that is the combination we are looking for. I did read a review where they were complaining about the rubber band that was wrapped around the stack of envelopes, the complaint was that the rubber band compressed the stack together creating a bend in the stack and disforming the envelope. Well, yes, a rubber band will compress but I took it off and checked it out, when the disk is inserted it goes back to shape without a concern. I find these envelopes to be good construction and light. I only wanted to protect the disks, which these do fine. If you are looking for hefty, almost cardboard sleeves, this is not it. But if you want something light for storage, these will fit the bill nicely.

I bought these Memorex paper sleeves (box of 100) a number of years ago because I was tired of jewel cases that either were too bulky, too flimsy, or fell apart. I've had CDs and DVDs in these sleeves for over 5 years now, and they have not ripped, yellowed, or separated. The paper is a good sturdy weight, same as regular copy/printer paper. The window is clear gloss plastic, and it's large enough to see most labels without problem. I use them in my vehicle to keep CDs for the stereo - they take up far less space than jewel cases which allows me to keep more CDs in the console. At my desk, I use them for data/backup discs and again, they take up way less space than jewel cases, let alone those huge retail packages some software discs use. Ready to buy another box of 100, and I won't even consider another brand. You can pay less for others, but I want something better than near-tissue paper, and these sleeves have proven their value with me already.

These sleeves are excellent, unlike some of the others here on Amazon, they're industry-standard thickness and fairly reliable - nothing cheap and flimsy here. However, and most unfortunately, they come wrapped very tightly in a rubber band that ends up leaving a fairly nasty indentation straight through the center of 5-6 on both ends of the bundle, and crimps in the middle-top and middle-bottom of all the rest. There's absolutely no need for that rubber band to be there, and if they really must put a rubber band for some reason, then employing the use of a wider rubber band would have resulted in considerably less crimping. Makes it acceptable for home use, but probably not the impression you want to be giving out if you're using these to mail CDs or DVDs to your customers.

I've used similar sleeves, also starts with an M, that are made with a lesser quality of paper. I'll definitely buy these again as needed.

I buy sleeves for three primary reasons: Protection of DVD/CDs; Compact Storage; Low Price. The sleeves fulfill all three of these needs very well. After reading a review about the packaging, with a rubber band pinching and ruining maybe half a dozen sleeves, I thought twice, but decided that they were probably worth it anyway. So I bought them. They arrived well packaged. I could see the point about the rubber band not being necessary. But I do not think the pinch was very serious, and I will make use of 100 percent of these sleeves. Every one met my criteria for purchasing sleeves.
