This didn't work. Infact it drew the critters to it to eat/lick it up... I live about 3 miles from the big city but I live by (but not connected to) a small wooded park. I have a very small front yard and little back yard. In the last few years we started to see 1 or 2 skunks and about the same with raccoons. They never really came around but this year is the worst by far. Not only did the shunks and raccoons have babies but so did the groundhogs and the deer! It's like a zoo now and they are all invading my yards. At night they set off all my cameras all around my house. Day time the deer eat my plants and trees and sleep in my backyard. I can't walk around my yards because they leave their calling card (if you know what I mean) all over the place. They dig holes, eat and kill all my plants and trees. I went to Home Depot (HD for short) for help with experts and they talked me into buy something like this (but it's pellets) and told me to switch it up with this stuff (bought this off Amazon because it was less than half the price of HD wanted). They said to even mix it together for maximum effects if the critters get worse. (HA! Now that's funny, not!) First I tried them by themselves, following the directions. NOPE! Even tried without water. NOPE! Let me tell you. These powders (and pellets) were the worst things I bought! All the critters came out in groups to eat this each time I put this out. It even got worse when I sprinkled them around mixing them together on the ground like the experts at HD told me to do. Now I want to go and sprinkle it on their properties just to have them have the experience I had. Oh, BTW it stinks! It has a yucky smell (dry or wet). They claim that's what's supposed to scare away the critters. Nope! They want to lick and eat it. I ended up buying the flashing light with noise things and they are working alot better than this stinky stuff! I can't return these because I used at least half of them each. DON'T BUY THIS! Buy the flashing lights thing instead. Wouldn't give stars but can't go below 1.

The label says it irritates their nasal passages, and honestly, I imagine it’s like walking into a perfume store and getting blasted by every scent at once. Whatever’s in it, it triggers their "Oh heck no!" instincts. And the animals it repels? It’s like reading Noah’s Ark’s blacklist—squirrels, deer, rabbits, even that skunk that thought my backyard was his personal bachelor pad. Not anymore, Pepe Le Pew! Applying it around my fortress of solitude—aka my suburban homestead—was easier than convincing my dog that the vet isn’t a serial killer. Just sprinkle your magic critter-chasing dust around your gardens, garbage cans, and, unless you’re into live-action Disney movies, your bird feeders. Plus, the stuff is biodegradable! So not only am I keeping Bambi and Thumper out of my veggie patch, but I’m also not hurting the planet. Talk about an eco-friendly guilt-free solution! I’m planning my next sprinkle-down in two months, setting a reminder on my phone and everything. It’s like setting a date to renew an anti-critter restraining order. And believe me, with how peaceful my garden’s been, I might just throw a little sprinkle party with a side of barbecue. So, if you're tired of hosting the Animal Planet after-party in your backyard, get yourself a bag of Bonide Repels-All. It’s like telling all those furry freeloaders, "You SHALL NOT pass!" I’m sure this product works great for most people but just not in my case. I have sprinkled the contents around flower beds and even in the flow pots three times over the past 6 weeks but the young deer are not deterred. They have chomped on the petunias and hostas like a bowl full of salad. Back to the drawing board.

It smells awful (see the ingredients), but it keeps the rabbits away from my plants. I had to apply more than I’d expected, so the bag is emptying quickly. I sprinkle it around the bush, then water with a watering can, just enough to dampen the granules. When we have a long stretch with no rain, I sprinkle it with water again to freshen it.

Doesn’t keep animals away from where they have burrowed under buildings.

There's ONE rabbit only and it's not a BIT affected by this product. It munched through a dozen marigold seedlings then came back and decimated my ivy geranium the next evening. I scattered more around and it came back tonight and started on my other ivy geranium. I had such high hopes because this product was very expensive and I debated long and hard whether I should get it. I'm lucky my livelihood didn't depend on this deterrent. There have been rabbit infestations in past years and I was hoping this was the magic bullet. So VERY disappointed and angry
