The product is hand down one of the best flood lights i have tested, and believe me i have tested a lot and currently have 12 flood lights in total around my house. The build quality of the flood light is exceptional, all areas have been sealed to prevent Ingres of water. The glass on the from is very quick and rugged, also the material that it has been coated in is very durable. I have had 2 of the 30W version of these flood lights for about 3 months now and they have been the best floodlights i have bought and i can see that this light is going to be the same. The PIR sensor is the best design i have seen on any flood light. With it having a spherical sensor dome on the outside with small hexagonal dividers on the inside make this PIR sensor very responsible and can even pick people up walking against the wall, and from where the light is placed is about 8 meters away. The adjustments on the PIR are very simple to change as some require you to use a screwdriver in order to change them, whereas this light doesn't require that as it is as simple as turning a few dials. I also like the addition to change the LUX which is how dark it has to be before the light comes on as when setting the light up it can be very useful as you do not have to wait for darkness to adjust the settings. Overall this is a well built floodlight that is very slim, durable and powerful. If you are looking for a slime profile security flood light this is the one for you.

I bought this to replace a 13 year old halogen version on which the PIR had died and was looking a little worse for wear. I was looking for one which also had a sensor sensitivity dial as these don't seem to be the norm, most on here just had settings for light level activation and light duration. Now these LED units have a wire directly attached into the back of them so they cannot be installed on a like for like basis with the old units if you already have a wire for this purpose coming out of the wall. To get around this I installed a Wiska junction box where the old unit was, fed the wire out of the wall through the back of this box and then wired this unit up into the junction box using some Wargo clips. I've attached a picture of the finished job. Easy enough to do. Installed it yesterday in a couple of hours. This is so much brighter than my old unit, to the point where my garden looks like a floodlit football stadium when this turns on! Build quality seems good, simple to install, bright as anything, inexpensive, cheaper to run than a halogen. Just grab yourself a junction box if you're replacing a hard wired halogen and you're good to go. You might get some complaints off the neighbours though when it fires up and takes their corneas out!

Very bright (I've got the 50W version), sensor easily adjustable for night/day, senor activation distance and duration of lighting. Metal outer casing. I've had a few months; seems great (but to be fair, it's 'protected' by not only the wall, also hedges to the sides. But... watch out for your earthing. If not properly earthed, it switches off to a kind of 'stand-by' mode, where the LEDs continue to glow weakly. Confirmed by wiring it to an ordinary plug and then using an extension lead to a socket in the house (previously on a garage lighting circuit spur). No stand-by effect, and still working perfectly. A few owners have had this affect, and incorrectly assume it's a sensor fault.

This is a fantastic Very bright, slim LED floodlight! This is one of the best LED floodlights I have ever had. I have 3 others round the house and garden and this is by far the best . Having a 50W LED it really gives fantastic illumination The manufacture of the unit is excellent and is very easy to fit . As it’s completely sealed it should withstand all the weather that Scotland can throw at it. The PIR sensor has a much wider range than most normal ones and picks up movement from a very wide range. The adjustments on the sensor are very easy to adjust giving you a wide range of sensitivity and light duration. I am extremely happy with this purchase both for its features, quality and price which I believe was fantastic value at only £21.99 I will recommend this to friends who are looking to replace any old outdoor lights.

The lamp looks well-made and (compared to many others) is satisfyingly slim. The light shines very brightly, as expected from its lumen rating. It is most helpful that the three knobs to adjust sensitivity, day/night activation and duration are on the bottom edge (rather than round the back like many others), so they are easily reached. Fixing the lamp was easy enough, but the heads of the supplied screws are too small - they slip through the holes in the brackets - so I had to find my own screws to do the job. Also, the neutral and earth wires have rather faded colours, but you can still distinguish between them in good light. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.

I waited a while before writing this review because some reviewers had reported reliability problems. Well I can report that after one of the most stormy and rain lashed winters for years, the unit stood up well. I have had no signs of water penetration or false PIR triggers. I bought this to replace an old failed unit. I got the new unit because of generally positive Amazon reviews and the fact it was on offer. So the price was even more competitive. Here's a few tips for installation. 1. For transport purposes the light is folded up so that the PIR controls can appear to be at the top of the PIR unit. You'll need to unfold it before installation. 2. While to the controls are simple to use, they can be difficult to see once the light has been installed. So I would suggest pre-setting each of the three, particularly the night/day control. Set the others at mid-point and then adjust according to need. 3. I would recommend taking the light fitting off its mounting bracket to make it easier to install the bracket. When re-installing make sure that the power cable is between the mounting bracket arms and there is a washer on both sides of the bracket arms. 4. I agree with other reviewers that the supplied screws are ineffective. They're too long for the job and being countersunk they can go through the mounting holes. I overcame this with a few steel washers I had lying around but the best and most attractive solution is to get three black domed headed screws, which I think are called 'Japaned'

Simply 2screws on the wall and feed the power lead through a wall. Simple’s Chuck a plug on the other end. And wham. Done. Super bright. Great field of few and sensitivity and set up easy as. The leds are awesome. Proper impressed. And cheap as too. I did think it would be cheap crap. NAH. aluminium case and sturdy clean looking. Best Buy

Bought this to replace a worn out halogen light 400 watts, this LED 50 watt version has a good brightness but isn't as bright as the halogen but ok. On the instructions it said the sensor range was only max at 3m that had me worried as it was mounted high up on the house wall. (no worries it is working well picking up at around 5 m) sensitivity settings are easy to set up. (need to do this in the dark). Being pre-wired you do need a waterproof cable junction box. Would buy again, good quality.
