Yes, you can use the remote or its touch panel to control your mini projector.

Can you download apps on this device?

Yes, the device comes unlocked so you can either download from play store (limited due to the device not having great hardware specs compared to a phone) or sideload with usb or I did it last night with bluetooth. Graphic apps might not work at all.

Can it be connected to external wireless speakers?

I have mine connected to an Alexa Echo Show, she auto-activates when the projector turns on, and it is pretty seamless and nice.

Can i see protected content,such as hulu, netflix and amazon prime videos? i want to see these contents on the wall.

Hulu is not available. It doesn't even show up in the appstore on this device. It's using a very limited version of Android and lots of apps don't work correctly.
