KitchenAid 9 and 12-Cup Food Processor 5-Disc Set Fits Models: KFP740/750; KFPW760; KFPW770

It was annoying to have to purchase this set- an identical set from a previous generation of the same processor had a slightly different—not improved in any way, just different enough that we had to purchase this set—spindle/adapter incompatible with the older blade set . That said, these are necessary to full functionality of the food processor and well worth it

I have a KitchenAid food processor and was so glad to find this. I especially live the French fry disc. Making fresh French fries (paired with my air fryer) is now so easy. And awesome. It’s nice to have the variety of cutting discs which will have me using my food processor even more frequently.

Back in the mid-2000's, I foolishly, or accidentally, gave these blades away leaving me only the chopping blade. I was going to have to buy another food processor but decided to try eBay, which punted me to Amazon where these new grater/slicer disks for my KitchenAid were. I'd already ordered a stem to utilize them and when I tried them out, they worked perfectly! No need to buy another FP.

I bought this mostly for the french fry cutter. I'm very happy with how the french fries come out. My kids love the taste of fresh french fries. I've seen reviews on this before, commenting on how small the fries are. That is a problem with the size of the opening in the cover, but since that can't be controlled, I'm more than satisfied with the size of the fries. As far as the other discs, I'm still learning to use the food processor so I haven't used them much. They seem mostly to be thicker or thinner versions of slicers I already have, but I'm sure I'll see the need as I do more "processing." I just wish I had a nice case for all of these.

I stopped using parmesan cheese when I discovered pecorino romano - no comparison in taste, this type of romano is delicious! That said, it's much harder than parmesan cheese. I have used several different microplanes and graters... grating a mountain of cheese for parties is not only daunting, but I could actually work up a sweat and develop forearms that make Rambo look like a twig. The first time I used the grating disc I was hooked. I chopped the cheese into large chunks (I have the wide-mouth kitchenaid), tossed one in, turned it on and in seconds I had PERFECT POWDERY FINE grated cheese!!!!!!!!!! I have only used one other disc so far - no complaints but really the cheese grating disc itself for me is the prize.

I have had absolutely no problems with this disc set. So far, I have used the parmesan blade, slicing blade for potatoes, french fry blade, and the shredder for shredding mozzarella. Each has met and exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this!

Product arrived quickly, in good condition and was just as described by the seller. I tried the french fry cutting blade to make sweet potato fries and it may take a bit of practice to achieve a more fry like cut. It made what I would consider match stick fries and with two medium sized sweet potatoes, there was a lot! I can't wait to try out the other blades. The only thing Kitchenaid could improve is provide detailed information with each blade on how to achieve best results using them, as there are only general guidelines in the food processor manual. Overall the discs are great and work well with my Kitchaid 9 cup food processor. The shredding, slicing, and julienne discs work wonders. I especially love the julienne disc. Unfortunately the french fry disc is terrible. After slicing 1-3 potatoes a piece of the sliced potato becomes stuck in the corner of the disc every time. This leads to the machine quickly becoming unbalanced and almost uncontrollable as you try to turn the appliance off. You have to manually press the "pulse" button of your food processor will struggling to keep the machine from going wild all over the counter. That's with clearing out the disc every 1-3 potatoes you place into the food processor. This defect in the design is why I marked off two stars. I find the french fry disc a dangerous hazard to use, but the price is great even for the other four operational, high quality discs. The 6mm slicing and shredding discs are great for a medium thickness in cooking dishes. Absolutely perfect for stir fries, vegetables for salads, shredded carrot for a carrot cake, etc.
