I need to splice individual 23awg solid core Cat6 wires. Could I get away with these or are they too big?

I used them for 22 gauge wire while I was putting in lights in my boat and they seemed too big to me. I made it work by doubling the wire over onto itself before I inserted it into the port but the heat shrink didn’t compress as tightly as I’d like for it to. So can it be done? Yes. But if you don’t want to have to make some modifications, then I’d suggest ordering something smaller. Hope this helps.

How do you splice such large wire in-line to work with these? I have a hard enough time using the 10 awg version of these?

Let's be honest. 10 AWG wire is already fairly hard to work with. I would recommend that you secure the wires on both sides of the connector and be patient. Let the solder melt and give it adequate time to cool before messing with it. Good luck!
