No "Bump" resistance - Will not work well for lowered cars
They work as advertised, but didn't work for me on my 2001 Camaro SS with SLP performance suspension system (Bilstein shocks were in that package). I was looking for an inexpensive alternative to the Koni adjustable shocks and something with a bit more firmness than the Bilstein's since my car also has been lowered by about 1" with Eibach springs (also came with the factory SLP "Bilstein Ultra Performance Suspension System" along with huge anti-sway bars and rear bump stop spacers). After installing on my car, I drove for a couple of months with them set on 6 (I also have the front KYB shocks on 6). The front was stiff enough but the rear was bottoming-out on most bumps and so I set them on 8 (max). That still didn't do the trick and I was still bottoming-out, and ruined the factory bump stops.I ultimately went back to a new set of Bilstein's that came with the car (rears only - kept the KYB fronts) and replaced the bump stops with red poly bumpers that were made for a Jeep. The issue with these KYB shocks isn't the rebound resistance, which is dampened up to 125% more than factory (but still less than the Bilstein's). The problem is the complete lack of bump resistance. Most road-car shocks don't have bump resistance, or very little. These KYB's are the same. The Bilsteins have a good deal of bump resistance that slows the suspension's travel UP into the car and thus, the car does not bottom-out hardly ever, even though I only have maybe 1.5" of travel before the axle begins to hit the bump stop.Bottom line: If you have an '98 - '02 Camaro or Firebird that's a V-6 with normal suspension, these will work fine. If you have the V-8 and/or some suspension mods, these won't work. That's why I gave them 3 stars.

AWESOME UPGRADE FOR THE AE86!!
Great packaging, fast shipping, and awesome customer support!I ordered these REAR shocks for my AE86 in case anyone out there is questioning the part number and compatibility for their corolla, even though they are made for the camaro. I'm running KYB AGX's front and rear with 8kg and 6kg springs and adjustable perches. Don't buy these for your corolla if your car is not lowered. If you're on lowering springs that are closer to stock height, just go with the full stroke shock actually meant for the AE86. My shock settings are 3 in the front and 2 in the rear, making a huge difference in cornering. I even drove with them cross country with a trunk and backseat full of cargo, due to moving, with no problems. KYB AGX's are great shocks having a lifetime warranty on them, but you may never need to deal with that. I have been running the same pair on the front for more than a decade with no problems (leaks or adjustability).GREAT SHOCKS! Add to your cart now!

Great shocks
Great product. Fully adjustable. My camaro had problems with wheel spin off the line. I installed these and adjusted them (along with other upgrades) so the weight shifted perfectly to the rear. Worked great and easily adjusted.

ride quality is great..
I actually used these on the rear of my 1991 BMW E30 318is. Much cheaper than anything adjustable made for that car and other than some bushings I purchased from McMaster Carr, these worked perfectly. I am running them near their stiffest setting currently until my new swaybar comes in, at which point I will likely soften these up a little. Even the way they are set now, ride quality is great..

Bottomed out
0 to 10 settings. Is 10 the most stiff? Regardless my 2000 Camaro Z28 still bottoms out at 10 on the LA freeway. Had to replace muffer. And had to replace tailpipes. Wish I kept the stock shocks. On the positive side my car sounds alot better with after market muffer.

Works like a champ!
Bought 2 of these to replace the originals, great price and super fast shipping. They work great and the setting was at 4 from the factory. I turned it down to 2 since I drive my car everyday. Works much better than the originals.

Awesome ride
Easy to install and make the ride so much nicer than the stock units on my 1988 Camaro Iroc Z with 5.7 litre.
