Air Intake Silencer 3/8inchPT Male Thread Air Compressor Filter Sound Muffler Replacement for Air Compressor

Doesn't fit my Central Pneumatic 21gal compressor at all but I can still swap out the foam filter into my existing housing for just as much, if not, cheaper than finding just the foam anyways

Not really sure why Amazon is wanting me to rate the thickness and sheerness of this product? It's a plastic air filter\silencer for an air compressor. It's thickness is appropriate and it's sheerness is horrible; because it's black plastic. But product worked well. Except for it's sheerness?

This filter does not directly fit an older HF 8 gallon 115psi compressor. I kept it for future use with a 3/8 to 1/2 thread adapter. Looks identical to the stock air filter but threaded attachment is too small. Gave it a 3 start noise because I have not used it yet

It seems the exact size for my Central Pneumatic compressor is no longer available. Even Harbor Freight could not help. All I had left was the little plastic nub from the last filter that broke off. Ordered two from Amazon but the threads were wrong on both. So ended up going to Lowes and getting a brass adapter that goes from 1/2 to 3/8 which allowed me to finally get a filter on my compressor. Wish it was metal, but at least it has something.

Worked great! My air compressor's original air filter broke the day I took it out of the box. Ten years later I finally got around to replacing it.This piece fit very well and had a remarkable impact on the noise level. It will never be quiet, but it's 'less loud' then it was before. I'm very satisfied.

Nice little air filter for the compressor. Reduces noise enough to make a difference.
