Rose McGowan is the only saving grace in this mediocre film by Victor Salva
Rosewood lane was a lot better than I thought it would be. I must admit I am a big fan of the cheaper creepers trilogy and I am a huge fan of Rose McGowan. I have seen every one of her movies since 1994, benefit of her since 1996. And on every movie that you cannot get digitally plus almost everyone digitally available on Amazon. Now on to the movie... I like the idea. I thought the story was pretty creative, however. It's hard for me to look past the person who directed this movie flat out. This could be an Oscar worthy bill, but the fact it is made by Victor salva. A no a pedofile and sex offender, makes it very hard for me to Give his films. A chance came because. Whether or not the films are good. His past is disgusting. So moving on from what I just stated. Rose McGowan as some place a doctor who moves into her childhood home a year after her father passes away from a mysterious demise and then suddenly gets targeted by a creepy young paper Violently goes after her harbored her family etc.. Things getting weirder, not being able to figure out how and which way he's getting into the house. It also is there a connection with her father's death and this kid does make for an interesting plot.To me, the cast is pretty decent, considering it's an independent movie. Though you know Rose McGowan and Ray Wise are basically the main and biggest starts of the film. Not that that's a bad thing. Just a thing I noticed. However, the movie seems to play on nursery rhymes done in creepy fashion, which I found very interesting in a good way, and now I have that stupid nurse over Rome. Hickory Dickory Dock stuck in my head because of this movie.👻Overall. I would get this movie 3 and a half stars, but we cant do half stars with the rating System on her. So I gave it 4 stars because I did like it however I definitely thought it was more of a direct to video type of film instead of a film that deserved a System on her. So I gave it 4 stars because I did like it, however, I definitely thought it was more of a direct to video type of film instead of a film that deserved a theatrical release. Which I don't even know if I did go to cinema or not?I have to say with everything going on right now, with the hard and steam situation et cetera with rose McGowan. I do find it funny that she decided to work with Victor. Salva. Because it's very well known its past that he was an. Sex offender had child pornography and sexually assaulted a child who was also a boy under the age 12 etcetera yet still worked with him. That is my opinion and whether or not this is a good movie or not so be still has talent at making films pure it thats besides the point it's just a comment I am going to make because if you're fighting for one sex that's been sexually abused in the industry, what about men and children.

The film stars Rose McGowan who played a radio talk show psychiatrist named, Dr. Sonny Blake. After her alcoholic father's death, she decided to move back to her childhood home, but once she got back in her old neighborhood, she was immediately warned by her neighbor about the local paperboy who seemed to be a strange young sociopath with supernatural abilities. Unfortunately, the boy immediately took a special interest in her; and when he started calling her show, reciting eerie nursery rhymes, an unnerving game of cat-and-mouse begins. As the game dangerously escalated, she suddenly found herself in a terrifying all-out war, one that forced her to redefine her perception of sanity and had her fighting for her life. This is not a movie with pails of blood pouring out or tons of gore spewing about, but I thought it was a nice mild suspense thriller that reminded me of the Twilight Zone days. If you're into stories like that, then this is definitely one you wouldn't want to miss. This actually got a lot of negative review, but I thought it was quite nice. Something you'd love seeing on TV on a slow weekend, sort of thing. One of the many complaints made was the actor who played the antagonist and his being inappropriate to be cast as a paper boy. Granted, he doesn't look like a boy, but take into account his acting skills here, I thought he made a pretty good job on his role. The story itself isn't perfect, and yeah, some choices the characters made were a bit questionable, but isn't that how movie people have always been? Like how they go into a room when we're screaming for them not to? All in all, I thought the actors were great and the story solid enough to see it through.

Lots of questions
This is an entertaining movie and I liked it. The movie is simple on one level. There is only the one evil, not a million screaming zombies, and I appreciated that. Finally a film that is focused down. But on another level this movie remains a mystery. Unlike your standard story that establishes introductions first, conflict in the middle, and resolution in the end. This movie for me leaves a lot of questions. But I think Victor Salva intends that. Many situations we run into in real life are never resolved. We just get bits, pieces, and clips of what really happened. That must be what he wanted in Rosewood Lane.Rose McGowan (Sonny Blake) does a really cool radio talk show. Her voice is low and soothing, and you can just picture her at 11:00 pm musing over the radio. I just didn't appreciate her voice until this movie. I was always more distracted by how she looks, so I forgot to listen. Good job Rose. But then there is Derek Barber the kid without Irises. He seems obsessed with Sonny and we're pretty sure he killed her father. What of him?. I have watched this movie about four times and can't answer the question Derek Barber. Did he have superhuman speed, strength and agility?. Could he duplicate himself? Did he bury Barret alive or possess his body? Where does he live? Parents? I need a sequel for this one. Don't forget Rose. Good mystery and I do mean mystery. GJ

Styrene than the usual horror stories with poor finish
This was quite good until the last five minutes leaving the film unfinished u explained and disappointing . Why do so many film makers these days put in so much effort then give up at the end !
