Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat for Nail Polish and Manicure (2 pack, 0.5 oz)

I don't know if I'm using this wrong, since a lot of people seem to love it, but I've never been able to get the Seche Vite products to work well for me. This is my third round of giving it a try. I agree that it does dry very quickly and leaves a lovely, glossy shine. However, whenever I use it, my nail polish starts chipping or peeling within only 1 to 2 days. I've never had this issue with the OPI base and topcoat products I've used. Sure, the OPI topcoat takes forever to fully dry (relatively speaking), but at least it maintains my manicure for a few weeks instead of only a few days. I think I'm pretty much done with Seche Vite at this point. The only good use for it I can think of is if I need to slap on a quickie manicure for some event and only need the polish to last for that one evening.

This stuff is AMAZING! This picture is day seven. Both hands have no chips. The application method: pushed back my cuticles, filed the nails, washed and dried my hands, cleaned each nail with acetone, applied the seche vite base coat, two coats of Sally Hansen Extreme Wear, and finally a coat of seche vite top coat. Two days later I applied a $1 LA Colors gel top coat plus another coat of seche vite top coat. The KEY is to apply the seche vite top coat on wet nails which is why I refreshed it with a cheap top coat. Wow! I wonder if it will last even longer. I’m thrilled with 7 days! This is now my holy grail for a gel like wear.

I LOVE THIS BASE AND TOP COAT! I bought it based on all the fabulous ratings I saw online. I had also seen it recommended in a magazine which made me check this out in the first place. The base coat protects my nails when I use dark polish so my real nails are not discolored when the polish is removed. The top coat gives a beautiful, high shine to your polish, and it dries in just minutes without using any lamps!! From start to finish, I can do my nails in just 20 minutes and they're totally dry!! I don't use expensive nail polish. I usually buy Sinful polish for $1.99. Although it's an excellent polish itself, my nails using the top and bottom coats of Seche Vite, look like a million dollars! Throw away the nail dryers, just use these two inexpensive products, and you're good to go within minutes! I'm not going to use anything else on my nails going forward. I'm over the moon with this stuff and highly recommend it!!

I don't usually write reviews, but I've become so dependent on reading other reviews before I buy anything, I thought it would only be fair that I finally contribute. Maybe it's helpful to know that this is the first product that I'm compelled to review, and that's because this top coat actually does work as well and as fast as it claims. It really does feel like magic when using it.Past Experience: Before, I was stuck using top coat brands like Sally Hansen that claim to be fast or instantly drying, but three days later and I could still make a dent in my polish. I rarely painted my nails because the experience wasn't enjoyable, but I felt stuck with drugstore brands because I didn't know what else to use and a lot of other products seemed too expensive. After finally giving in and committing myself to doing some research, I found this one, as it came highly recommended but more importantly, the price is reasonable.Tips: When using the Seche Vite top coat, the top layer is solid and touchable in about 5 minutes, though I also give it a good half hour for safety before doing anything with my hands, because after that it feels like it's indestructible. With some practice, I would say the final results are better than anything I've gotten at a salon. You really just take a nice sized pearl of top coat and gently drag it across the polished nail before it starts to dry so that it forms a smooth layer. The key is getting a knack for the right amount to start with because if it's too little you'll disturb the polish, and if it's too much it'll bleed off your nail bed. If you're experiencing any chipping I would also recommend wrapping the tips of the nail with both your polish and the top coat. My nails last a lot longer that way. If you paint your nails a lot I would definitely also recommend getting the Seche Restore, because it helps expand the life of this top coat and also the life of your nail polish.Overall: I am finally able to enjoy the process of painting my nails and my nails are beginning to grow nice and long because I get to keep them polished. If you are curious about trying this I would say don't hesitate and try it. It works and it's cheaper than the brands that don't even work as well. The only downside may be the strong smell if you are sensitive to that. Oh, and I also can't ignore the chemical warning label about possible reproductive harm. this product is amazinnnnnnnnnngggg!! it has enough reviews but i love it because:1. i never have to go to the nail salon ago for a manicure2. my nails have never been this long in MY 26.9 years of existence!!!3. Nails are so strong4. any cheap nail polish will last a long time5. looks like gel nails

Fastest drying top coat I've used. (Have also tried Out the Door, Poshe, and at least half a dozen others that claimed to be fast-drying.) The main drawback is that I get a lot of shrinkage with Seche Vite, both on the tips and sides of my nails. (And yes, I followed the directions.) But then I read a tip online about using a different top coat between your polish and the Seche Vite. Sometimes I use NYC Grand Central Station, sometimes I use Seche Vive, but even Wet n Wild clear nail protector will work. It's like a buffer or something, and no more shrinkage to be had.

Love how fast it dried, truly dried. With 4 kids, 1 being a newborn it is essential that my polish dry quickly. With that said, it did chip and come off with one swim in the pool :/Edited: painted my nails with a different polish and used this base/top coat & I must say it has held up nicely. I'm on day 4 & not a single chip or imperfection. I'm very pleased with this product and will definitely continue ordering it.

Okay, Indian people. Rs. 1500 might sound a little too pricey for a top and a base coat set. But believe me when I tell you, it's a one time investement. This thing will last you a year and you can use any polish n it will make ur nails look like a movie star. In picture you can see this polish gives a ceramic like finish and I took this pic after 5 days of application. Did laundry cooked cleaned, and my nails still look pretty awesome.

Peels!!! I made sure my nails were clean and free of oils before painting (i dont even touch my phone). Did base coat, colour, and this top coat. Dries QUICK and is VERY shiny but rhe next day it all peeled!! Horrible!! And they don’t accept refunds so 1 star.

Excellent product, works as advertised and makes drying your nail polish a breeze. A must-have!

I love this product. It somehow evens out all of the streakiness in my polish application and leaves a glassy finish. Be sure to seal or else you will have peeling, but it is amazing.
