It also helps to be able to tell if you have cleaned it up thoroughly. I bought one for my daughters apartment too so she can check prior to moving out. My first one only lasted a year because the batteries corroded and ruined it, so use good quality leak resistant batteries because it does use them up pretty fast. Helpful Hint: I've bought several different brands of these from Amazon at different prices and they're all exactly the same except the name on it.
