**Q: does it block noise at all?**
A: No it doesn't.

**Q: Since paulownia wood is waterproof and rot resistant, can this screen be used outdoors? Also, can this screen be opened up in a straight line?**
A: I have used mine outdoors on a covered porch for almost a year now.  It's in the very humid, tropical Florida climate.  There's a lot of moisture in the air and sometimes the rain blows in some on it but it's held up from that.  I think there must have been some kind of oil coating on it which ended up with mildew growing on a lot of that (mildew is common here).  I was able to clean it off with a damp rag and a little effort and the wood was still good under that.  The screen does go out to a straight line.  I really like them (I got two of them).

**Q: is it see through? I'd like this as my privacy board so no one can see behind**
A: It is not see through and can be used as a privacy screen.

**Q: Is this white or off white ?**
A: More of a whitewashed white.

This lightweight room divider is a great height, easy to move, fairly sturdy and looks great. Mine came cracked, which I did not notice at first. The screen accidentally got wet and the color has become mottled looking. I will repaint it soon. Overall, I'm very pleased with this divider. I use it more as a privacy screen and to give a dressing room effect off the master bathroom. I recommend it.
