We’ve used pennyroyal oil to prevent pests effectively for almost 50 years; all pests (insects & rodents) hate & avoid it.Only needed to rub a little behind chair legs, or sprayed around edges of rugs/carpets.Can make spray using: 1 qt. Spray bottle of water, 1 Tblsp. Pennyroyal oil, 2 drops liquid dish soapUse to spray baseboards, backs of cupboards, etc. (IF misting (not recommended), stay out of the rooms misted for at least a day).Mint-like aroma dissipates in several hours; efficacy lasts about a month or so. Once used in an area for a few months, you will not need to spray as often, as colonies diminish. We didn’t have to use it during winter cold.We put some drops of the oil onto pet collars only, as it repels fleas & ticks fairly well.Only Pennyroyal can do this; don’t be fooled by others selling other mints or peppermints…those lack this component; other mints or peppermints only fool pests for a short time.ACTION: almost all pesticide chemicals on market are poison to the cardiovascular or the neurological systems in living creatures. But pennyroyal also causes pests unsuccessful reproduction; somehow they know to avoid it.We have also used plain borax powder, packed under baseboards where only bugs find it, hate it & leave..that is a semi-permanent anti-bug fix. A city inspector saw a friend’s crawlspace under his house. He’d laid a 1/2” thick layer of borax continuous over the vapor barrier under the house, spraying lightly with fine mist of water, forming a crust. Must be sure it forms tight seal around all footings & foundations, & make sure vents & accesses are well-screened to block kids, pets & other 4-leggeds, out, so the crust remains undisturbed. That inspector called that “semi-permanent termite control”. That house never had spiders, roaches, silverfish, termites, ants of any kind, or any other bugs inside, except a stray fly that flew in an opened door. As long as it stayed packed under the baseboards, it did the job.Planting & maintaining a strip of living pennyroyal groundcover plants all around & right next to the foundations of your house (prefers well-drained moisture; semi-shade tolerant; tiny blue flowers, grows about 8” tall but flops over), repels pests away from house, without using the concentrated oil of it. Regrows annually.NOTEs: As with any substance, the dose is what makes anything toxic. Time, dose & frequency.Avoid ingesting a concentrate of anything. Pennyroyal oil is very concentrated, unsafe to ingest; store unused portions safely away from children & pets. NOT A FOOD FLAVORING!!! UNSAFE for humans to ingest. Do not rub into skin, or anywhere on your cat or dog where they can lick or be licked.Between the pennyroyal & borax, pests all disappeared, and pets, grannies & babies have been safe, every place we’ve lived, whatever State, for almost 50 years (KS, MO, TX, AK, CA, WA, GA, FL, AZ).

This is a great minty oil for asthma aroma therapy or to keep pests out of the house or as an insect repellant.It is very strong so one drop is all you need. Using more is overwhelming. For insect repellant, I mix it with vodka or everclear and spray it on my clothing. This prevents staining as it requires a carrier. Do not put it directly on the skin as it can be toxic. I also put a few drops on the dogs collar/harness.

Seems like good quality and pretty much the best value I’ve been able to find! It smells nice, it’s pretty strong and bugs definitely seem to dislike it! I add it to lotion and it really cuts down on mosquito bites!

The scent when I opened it surprised me. I was not expecting it to be so strong. Great stuff.

We use this for our dog on fleas and when we go to different places and we put it on our socks to we like it we've used it before it would be great for you for your animals and for yourself when you go through places that there fleas and stuff

This was DISGUSTING! Totally disappointed. Smelled like a chemical.
