The Freemie is a game changer. My son has had difficulty latching and so I have been pumping since they day he was born. This has required me to schedule my life around a pumping schedule and be chained to my plug in pump. It has been a lot of work, but he is worth it. I saw the Freemie and read the very mixed reviews. I was a little hesitant to purchase because it’s not exactly cheap and I don’t think it’s returnable. However, for the promise of freedom I went ahead and pulled the trigger. I could not be happier and I recommend the Freemie to all my friends who are nursing mothers. First, I use the cups with the Ameda Mya Joy portable pump and it works without any issues. That was a relief since it is not listed as one of the tested pumps. But it works. I can walk around the house, plug it into the power outlet in the car, etc. The fit...no, it does not look completely natural. You’re putting plastic cups in your bra. Let’s be realistic. The instructions even advise you to wear a loose shirt or a scarf if you want to better conceal what you’re doing. However, you’re walking around with a pump...the motor is pretty audible. It’s no secret what you’re doing. So, why is everyone concerned that it looks like there is something in your bra? I walk my dog, push the stroller, and talk to me neighbors while I’m pumping. No one seems upset. It is not as easy to see if your nipples are completely centered in the flange. I can line them up pretty well when I put the cup on. I haven’t had any issues. You are able to see if the pump is suctioning and pulling the nipple in. It’s just not as clear as a traditional pump. I’m a D cup and don’t have any issues with my breast tissue suffocating the pump as some reviewers mentioned. No, you can’t bend over because there is a drain whole on the top. This is in the instructions and I think also common sense. I just make a point to squat down. Hey, it’s better posture anyway. The bra fit is key. Also in the instructions. You do need to have a decently snug bra because you’re relying on the bra to hold the cups against your chest. I wear a very basic cotton nursing bralette from Motherhood Maternity. It worked out the first time and I haven’t had any issues with the fit or keeping the cups in place. Lastly, I haven’t noticed a decline in output with this system. I pump just as much as when I use my regular flanges. It is true that you can’t really judge output while you’re pumping. There are markers on the cups but you can’t really read them while you’re pumping. I just kinda look in there to make sure it’s collecting something. This is a game changer. It gives you a lot of freedom while pumping. Yes, you may look like you’re wearing Madonna’s bra circa the 1990s but it does exactly what you need it to so, I can live with that.

This pump is awesome! I use the Ameda Mya pump and have loved it for its small portability!! I was worried about compatibility because I they had not tested it with this brand of pump yet. It fits and works flawlessly! I think the seal is even tighter and these cups work better with my pump! They are so much easier to clean, and put back together. I had a little trouble figuring out how to close them together but you just have to push until you hear them snap together. The only cons in my opinion are they will leak if you bend over but I can still move around very freely and if you just plug the poor holes you can bend forward. I’ve figured out to turn the poor holes in just a little when putting them on and I can plug them with one had to bend over. You can also just squat and not bend forward. It’s actually better for your back anyway! I don’t underwhy they didn’t make the pumps desiolike this in the first place. It just makes more sense. This product is a game changer and if your a working mom and exclusively breast feeding this is a must have. Spend the money it’s so worth it!! Also I love that these work great with my regular bra!! I need underwire to go in public lol and pumping or nursing bras just don’t have enough support. I’ve also figured out that I can tuck these bad boys down lower into my bra and you pretty much can’t tell I’m wearing them!

Like many others, I bought these to pair with a portable pump. I'm completely unsatisfied, especially for the extreme cost. I wish the photos could even come close to showing how awkward these truly are. Pros: Fits inside the right bra. Closed system so they're not supposed to leak. Cons: They're not easy to figure out. They don't look natural at all. In fact, they might blend in with smaller breasts, but they look weird and totally noticeable with my mid-sized breasts (size C/D cup). *See photo You can't really see how your nipple placement is in general through the plastic, and if you have to use an insert to be smaller than 25mm, you can't see the nipples at all to check placement as there's zero visibility. *See photo Finding the right bra to hold them in place AND hold them firm enough is tricky as they require much pressure to have suction. Having them close enough to produce suction makes my breast tissue smother the ventilation holes at the top, which is terrible for the pump and makes the cups creak. It's a great idea, but Freemie has A LOT of improvement to do to make these worth $100. My money is totally wasted here as I've tried them a couple times and they're just a dud. I'm so mad.

Cons- Weird shape under clothes, need something bulky on top like an apron or heavy cardigan to hide funky clunky shape. Also, doesn't suction obviously as much as a hospital grade so sometimes I get clogged ducts from not being able to empty completely. Pros!!- Wearable! Completely! Comfortable! Compatible with Spectra S9 travel pump (must use freemie tubing), holds more oz than the Willow or Elvie!, lightweight, discreet, easier pour spout (no mess or Spills at all!) Pumps no matter what! Doesn't need a good suction to still turn on. Perfect for work or traveling.

This was life-changing for me. I exclusively pumped for nine months with my daughter (nursing didn’t work out) and found myself chained to a wall five times a day. I got mastitis three times when using a pumping bra with my traditional flanges, (something about the tightness of it and never drained completely.) I went through six different bras to try to find a good fit. I’m a 38DD. My solution was just to pump one side at a time to avoid future clogs. This obviously took twice as long. I love the Freemies because I just insert them into my normal bra and don’t have to make any kind of adjustments. This is the only way I am able to effectively double pump now. It’s nice to not have to undress or change bras in order to pump and I can easily insert them in while driving! So far while using them (just 2 weeks) I have been able to cook, vacuum, commute to work, and even sit at the table with my family while pumping. Doing two things at once has been wonderful and I think this is the only way I will be able to reach/surpass my goal of breastfeeding for 6months! I will say my output is about 1 ounce less per pumping session as compared to pumping one side at a time. I wouldn’t replace all daily pumps with these cups personally, but just to free up my hands a couple times a day means everything. I found it very worth it to spend $100 on this closed system that came with all the necessary attachments and not have to worry about milk getting into my pump or things not fitting properly (which I read in the reviews of the open system). I use it with my Ameda Mya which holds a 2 hour charge and can walk all around the house with the pump in my pocket. Read the reviews, do your research, and ask questions before buying. There are always pros and cons, but I highly recommend this product!

This product is great on paper and I was really excited about since I pump exclusively. But in reality, it’s very unreliable which makes it almost useless for me. I use it with my Spectra S2. Pros When it works, it’s very comfortable on. Can be truly hands free. The output was comparable to using Spectra flange once suction setting is figured out. Cons Suction is much lower than Spectra flange. I had to increase the level quite a bit to get the same output and same level of suction feeling. The whole cup setup is extremely finicky. If anything is slightly off, it gives close to no milk even after pumping a full session. This is especially problematic because you can’t see anything (like how much milk is getting collected) while pumping. Couple of times, I took apart the parts and put them back exactly the same way and got better result! Practically impossible to adjust the setup during pumping without touching the milk-touching parts which is a hygiene issue. This makes above issue even worse. The parts are not dishwasher safe. They are weirdly shaped and takes twice as long to hand wash compared to Spectra flange setup. Given how busy the days are, having full pumping session with very low output is a problem and I have to frequently add another session to make up for it. As a result, I avoid using this as much as possible and only when I really need to be more hands free or mobile.

I love these. My only issue is that I have larger breasts, so they definitely are not discrete under clothes. And you’ll need to have bras than can fit them. Luckily I wear sports bras and pumping bras, so I’m able to fit them in comfortably. But I love how easy they are to assemble, how they are compatible with so many different pumps. Even ones that aren’t listed on the back of the box. I use mine with my Ameda Mya pump. I even realized I had been using the wrong flange size previously before getting my freemies. I was using the standard 24 mm flanges that came with my breast pumps. And it’s always been a little uncomfortable pumping with those, but I forced myself to get used to it and chalked it up to just having to get used to it. But the freemies come with 25 mm and 28 mm. I use the 28 mm and they are so much more comfortable. No pain at all. The freemies allow me to be more hands free, but also I can pick my baby up and hold him now. I couldn’t do that pumping with regular flanges and cups. They are easy to clean and easy to pour milk out of into storage.

I exclusively pumped (& had oversupply) with these pump cups for a year. I would not have been able to pump exclusively without these cups. I was able to put my pump on while working, while doing chores, and even wore them while working out on the elliptical. These cups hold more milk than most competing cups - they would hold close to 10 ounces of milk if they got filled to the very top. They are not spill proof, so you do have to be careful about not bending over too much to keep from spilling. These cups were fairly easy to clean and held up very well. I did not have to replace them until almost a year of use when the inner silicone piece wore out (I used very often since the Freemie Independence was my only pump). I did find that if you did not put the pieces together just right that it would not function properly. If you start with putting the smaller silicone “cup” piece in the “J” piece first and be sure it is touching all around before attaching that to the “funnel” piece then you shouldn’t have any trouble. These cups fit just fine in underwire bras and sports bras as a C cup size at the time. I plan to use these cups for pumping again with future babies and recommend them along with the Freemie Independence pump!

I have these for my spectra. I work in an emergency department where there is little place to pump. With these, I can pump between seeing patients while writing notes. I can even detach the tubes and attend to a crashing patient then just plug back in and pick up where I left off. I will be recommending these to all my colleagues.

Really good but the long cable connecting it to the pump is annoying. Also annoying that you can't use a sterilizer you need to boil it for 5 min

En mi registro me regalaron el extractor marca Sebami, que es muy económico y lo venden aquí en Amazon, el problema es que es muy cansado estar sosteniendo los embudos en los pechos porque no puedes tener las manos libres, además de que es más obvio cuando lo estás usando. Pedí estás copas sin saber si iban a ser compatibles con la bomba Sebami pero ¡si son! Estoy feliz de que si funcionen con esa bomba porque el resto de las que ví, están muy caras. Con estás copas tengo las manos libres y como se mete al brasieres, son mucho más discretas que los embudos. No siento que me salga menos leche que con el otro extractor de embudo. Serán mi salvación ahora que regrese a trabajar.

I love how easy it is but mine came broken.

I absolutely love my freemie cups, but although it says on the pamphlet it can be used daily and the cup barrier will last up to a year, not even 3 months later, not even pumping with it every day (and using it once a day if I do use it), and following the washing directions to a T, my one cup barrier is not sealing properly. I can hear the air leaking out and it is sucking milk up into it. I've done troubleshooting and theres nothing I can do about it, it keeps sucking the milk up. I would gladly order replacement cup barriers since I love having the freedom to clean and/or go out and pump with my freemie cups, but I cant find anywhere that sells them in Canada and 5 different addresses for Ontario on the freemie website itself says it doesnt ship to that location. So I'm extremely disappointed since my return window passed about 12 days before the cup barrier stopped working
