Great line!
This might be my favorite monofilament line ever. I use the 4 lb (2 lb diameter) on my ultralight, and the 8 lb (6 lb diameter) on my medium. The casting distance is unreal, and the strength is about normal for monofilament. I prefer the low visibility green color. Trilene XL is a similar concept of thin line, but this is executed way better IMO.

Old Skool Goodness
I have used stren for 40 years. Mono has fallen out of favor lately, with Braid and Fluorocarbon lines on most anglers reels, and don't get me wrong, I use both, but when I want mono, I want stren magnathin. Simply the best freshwater mono there is and won't break the bank.

Have always used magnathin cast always a little further when using micro lures

I’ve used it for years. Slightly thinner than standard line so it flows easier in rivers with less line drag.

If its still around after all this time....
Old fashioned mono for the win. I might still use fl leader material but my days of using flourocarbon for main line is over. This 4 lb test holds a knot better than 8 lb berkley flouro mainline on my 1000 size reel.
