Undersummers Women's Ultrasoft Lace Slip Shorts: Prevent Thigh Chafing with Stay-Put Mid-Thigh Length (S-4X)

Ordered xxl (normal size XL) based on comments. What threw me was this is actually silky slip material so, to me, it didn't need to to be really loose. But it was surprisingly light & comfortable to wear.The top & waist were too high in the xxl, and for me too loose. I was looking for the low rise waistband but this size didn't have that.

I went up a size in these because I normally wear an XL and I got an XXL. I wanted them to fit more like bike shorts and less like shapewear. I love that they are mid rise and not tight on my belly. The looser fit could be because I bought a larger size but the mid rise below the belly button fit is difficult to find in my experience. They are A lot longer than most slip shorts so I can’t wear any thing above the knee with them. I am 5’5” and about a size 14

Initially, I liked the look of these shortlettes. They were soft to the touch, but a little thicker than I thought they would be. The lace is pretty. When I tried them on, they felt less stretchy than I was expecting. They aren't really shape-wear, but they also aren't just a pair of lingerie shorts. They're somewhere in between. They don't come up to my waist, they are definitely low rise which I HATE. I am long-waisted, so anything that is low rise is REALLY low rise on me and I end up with a muffin top. I didn't expect high waist, but I would have preferred that they made it closer to my belly button. And, they don't fully cover my backside. I don't have plumbers crack, but they slide down a bit when I sit. Which brings me to the roll up/down issue. All of the reviews and descriptions said that these would stay put and not roll up or down. Well... I have been intentionally moving around a lot to see what would happen. The legs surprisingly do stay put. The waist, because it is low, is rolling down any time that I sit, which is quite possibly my biggest pet peeve. Overall, I give these a 3 because while the material is soft, they don't fit as I would have liked, and I found them to be very expensive for what they are. For $36, I want something that I really like. I am disappointed.

I think these are exactly what I've been looking for! I wear a skirt everyday to work and have tried several products to avoid the dreaded thigh chafe! I tried powders, gels, bandelettes, and the jockey shorts but found that most of them either didn't last, rolled up, or fell down. So I finally decided to give the undersummers a try.Now they aren't terribly sexy looking, in fact my husband started teasing me when I first tried them on (they are kinda old-fashioned looking), however they fit very well and I think this is the product I have been desperately searching for! They fit very well in the thigh area and provide full coverage for most of my thigh (the bottom of the shorts stops a few inches above my knee). This means that all parts of my thighs that could potentially rub together are fully covered but it's still short enough that it won't peek out from underneath any of my skirts or dresses (I only wear skirts/dresses that are knee-length or longer).For reference, I'm 5'0" and about 205 pounds (size 18/XXL in bottoms) so I ordered the 1x-2x plus and they are basically a perfect fit. The only thing I noticed is that the top of the waistband is just a little bit tighter than I expected it to be, however, this seems to help keep the shorts from rolling or falling down below my stomach the way that the Jockey slipshorts do (those will roll down very quickly and create a terrible muffin top). The undersummers definitely help keep my tummy neat and smooth underneath my clothes without pinching or creating a big bulge.These are a little pricey but I'm hoping that the price will be an indicator of quality and that they will hold up after frequent wear. So far I think it's money well spent!

I do not have words to properly describe my love affair with these shortlettes! I wear skirts and dresses constantly, throughout the entire year. I usually dread summer because it means wearing hot leggings under my skirts or suffering the inevitable chaffing. The Undersummers solve the problem beautifully! They provide protection, feel great, and look cute too! The fabric is super soft and doesn't cause my skirts to cling like leggings often do. I did get a size larger than I usually do and they feel great. I probably would have been fine getting my usual size but I didn't want to risk causing lines under my dresses. They also look nice so if I'm wearing a skirt that is a bit shorter than I prefer, I have these underneath and the lace shows a little in a classy way. I highly recommend this product. I'm actually writing this right before I go buy another 3 pairs.UPDATE 5/3/2019I used to hate wearing skirts because my thighs would sweat and rub together and...well...it sucked. These undersummers completely changed my life and my wardrobe because I don't even think about chaffing anymore. I initially purchased three pairs two years ago and wore them almost every single day during the spring/summer for both years. I've lost weight now and purchased new pairs, two sizes smaller and they are still as perfect as my last pairs. Seriously, if you wear skirts or dresses, I can not recommend these highly enough. They will save your day over and over again

I can't believe how much I love these! I wear a size 16, 5ft 7in, 235 lbs, ordered a 2x but probably could have gone down to a 1x. I have large hips and thighs and a long torso. Trying to find comfortable undergarments to wear under dresses has always been a struggle... until I found these! Other shorts will roll at the top or are too tight on my thighs so I end up with an unattractive bulge or a visible line above my knee. I have some lighter colored dresses and skirts that were almost see-through before. I bought the nude color and plan on purchasing the black. Highly recommended!Update: Bought another in nude/1x and they are perfect. I STILL plan on buying more to wear under dress pants. These are far more comfortable than any underwear I have owned (I'm 36). I have quite a bit of cellulite, no matter how big or small I have been, on my legs and butt. These give my bottom half a smooth appearance under dress pants.

These undershorts are fabulous. Read the description, they are not compression shorts but extremely comfortable undershorts for everday use to avoid chub rub. The measurement chart is quite accurate. My hips are 59 inches and the 4X fits perfectly. I can now wear dresses again.

I know what you’re thinking. I thought it too. These are kinda a bit expensive and I can likely find something close at another store for less money. Well I’m here to tell you, that’s just not true! I have spent loads of money on alternatives. Some were “ok”, some weren’t great but NOTHING compares to these absolutely lovely, comfortable, silky and very pretty underwear. They’re more than underwear, they’re underwow! From the moment you put them on, you won’t want to take them off! You will sneaky show your friends (and even friendly strangers) how cute the lace detail is. You’ll LOVE that there’s no inseam rubbing between your thighs. You’ll be amazed at how your dress or skirt slides beautifully over them and how protected you feel when you sit down in these or if the wind blows the edge of your skirt. I spent too much money trying to find the perfect undergarment for dresses, skirts, even skorts and shorts but then I found these! Try even one pair and you will end up buying enough to get you through a wash cycle. I know I did and I wish I’d bought them before wasting my money on all those other items I though would do the trick. Nothing compares! Get them in black, light blue and flesh tone and you’re covered, though I also LOVE having the saucy red ones too. You’ll need a few black and likely want more than one light blue pair if you wear light coloured dresses or skirts. There is nothing that compares to these. They are worth every penny and will last you years if you care for them. Try them and then head over to their actual website where you can get more colours and length options. These do exactly what you need them to do - stop your thighs chafing in hot weather when wearing dresses and skirts. I've basically been living in jeans, cutoffs etc, because of the chafe and now am able to dust off my dresses again. Although they might not be the most attractive item ever seen, the lace makes them as pretty as possible, and I will be ordering the other colours too. Fit is nice, feel is silky, they don't squash you in (these are not shapewear) which means you don't squish out elsewhere. I can breathe in these! The legs do not cut in (a problem I've had with other brands). Highly recommended, essential piece of kit for your wardrobe.

These definitely fit larger than indicated on the size chart. Other than that they seemed like a decent quality product. I do question the addition of the lace - especially at the top. They're flesh(ish) tones chub rub shorts - we out here trying to make them cute or add sex appeal? All the lace added was lumps under any smooth fabric. Not for me.
