Continental OE Technology Series 4061195 6-Rib, 119.5" Multi-V Belt

This belt took care of the LBZ "squeaky belt" issue. The belts made by GM and Gates all squeaked. This is the first belt that cures the matter once and for all, at least on my 2007 GMC 2500HD Silverado with the Duramax LBZ engine. It fits perfectly and once you master the trick of getting the plastic snaps out of the left side radiator cowling and knowing you'll lose them it's a fairly easy task to replace the belt. Search Amazon for: B0040CYWX0. These clips fit the 2007 model, and others.31 JUL 2015 UPDATE: I have over 2,000 road miles with this belt and the squeaking belt issue is gone. I read the LBZ forums and this is the cure for the problem.

Good quality product at a fair price. The serrated ribs give the belt more flexibility and grip around the pulleys. This belt fixed my squeaky belt issue on Chevy 2500HD Duramax (infamous issue on these diesel engines, not critical, but annoying). New factory belts begin to squeal in short while. This belt has good feedback from duramax owners who used it and holds up better (as far as squeal goes) than most.

Traded up from my gates green stripe. I had a constant squeak coming from my Duramax that I couldn’t seem to locate, until I decided to change my serpentine belt. Needless to say this belt fixed my squeak. Quality belt, great fit.

I purchased this belt because some reviews stated that it would solve the chirping belt sound that Silverados with the duramax engines have. The chirping started again with this new belt after about 800 miles or so. I originally looked for a gatorback slanted rib belt but found them unavailable. I settled for this Continental belt and I am disappointed that the chirp came back.

Exactly what I wanted, fit like OEM belt and doesn't squeak or make any noise! Had a different brand on for a couple months and it drove me crazy, squeaking and chirping. Put this one on and it is very quiet. Been on for several months and very pleased!

Do not buy this belt! This belt is terrible! I changed all my pulleys along with the new belt, yet I was getting a terrible squeak. So I thought my alternator was bad, so I can changed it. Still squeaking, I thought maybe it's my power steering? Nope, I finally removed the new Continental belt and installed the old original belt, and low and behold, the squeak is finally gone! Now I have to order an original GM belt so I don't have any more problems! Waste of money with this junk!

This belt solved the annoying cold startup belt chirp I had on my 2007 Silverado 3500 Classic. This is a common problem with Duramax LBZ motors. I would recommend this belt to anyone needing a new belt for any reason, or looking to solve a belt noise issue.A competent DIY home mechanic should be able to replace the this serpentine belt in as little as 5-10 minutes if it goes smoothly.
