Sooooo easy! Works in a few minutes!
The first time my GE water line froze, I went on YouTube to find help. Most of the videos showed the hair dryer, steaming cups of water, copper wire, weed whacker line, insulating the door with dynomat (very expensive) and other remedies. I used the hair dryer and steaming water, and I even added a skinny wire brush. This worked after committing over an hour each time, while the freezer door was open and the food was defrosting. When the line froze again last week, I was over this! I began shopping on line for a new refrigerator. Wow! They're expensive, and the reviews show the new ones have their own issues. I decided to give YouTube one more try and found a video demonstrating IceSurrender! I ordered it through Amazon and received it today. I immediately began working on my frozen line. I heated the cup of water for 30 seconds, but it didn't seem hot enough, so I heated it for another 30 seconds. Just right! I drew the water into the tube, put a dish towel on the water tray, inserted the tubing as far as I could into water line and pushed the water in. (Be sure the IceSurrender tubing isn't dangling outside the water tray, or the water may run back down the outside the tube onto the floor.). It didn't work the first time, but the IceSurrender tubing went further into the water line each time, so I knew it was progressing. I repeated the steps a few more times. Voila! The water was flowing!

WORKS GREAT! and FAST!
I loved this product! I was no longer able to get water from the dispenser on my refrigerator door. I read that it could possibly be a frozen line. The repair man would charge me $65 just to come to my home, plus any repairs. So I thought I would try this first. It only cost $11.I was able to unfreeze the line in less than 2 MINUTES!! AMAZING. Saved me so much money. I only wish I had not waited so long to purchase this product! I now keep it in the kitchen drawer next to the fridge in case it happens again.I got a coffee cup and filled it with very hot water (from Keurig). Then put the tube into the water and sucked up water into the tube. I then pushed the tubing into the fridge door (where the ice maker dispenses water). I pushed it as far as it would go (until it hit the ice). I then put a small bowl under the dispenser and I pushed the hot water into the line. I poured out into the bowl. I then repeated this twice more and that was it! It was working again! I have water dispensing from the fridge once again!

Cleared up the ice blockage
My water dispenser stopped dispensing. This was easy and quick to use and it did the job. If your dispenser is not working it most probably either an ice blockage, or the water pump is not working. I have a side-by-sed GE and the water pump is easy to get to from the back of the unit. I took it out and disconnected the water line to see if it worked and it did. I then used this unit and like magic, it cleared it up. You can also take speaker wire or something that's slightly rigid yet flexible and try pushing into the water tube. If it's stuck after 8"-12" there is probably an ice blockage.

It works!
I hesitated on buying this because it's such a simple idea that I figured I could make one myself. I give the maker credit, however, for thinking it up in the first place, so I went ahead and purchased one. When the nights get colder our G.E. has the freezing water dispenser problem from time to time, and I'm happy to report this device works every time. I'm glad I have it on hand.

Works exactly as advertised
I moved into a house that had a 15-year-old GE refrigerator, with ice and water dispensed from the front door. Two weeks later, the water stopped working. According to the GE manual, if the refrigerator was still dispensing ice, but was not dispensing water, the only solution was to schedule a service call. I assumed this would be very expensive and I googled to see what I could find out about the problem. The first fix I found online was to use a hair dryer to try and unfreeze what was probably a frozen water line. It did not work. I was very frustrated, but then I found an online demo of this product. I couldn't believe it would really work, but I ordered it in case it could save me an expensive service call. It worked exactly as it said it would. It took two syringes of hot water to unfreeze the obstruction, but the water is now flowing, and I have the device to use again should the problem recur (which, from what I've read, is likely). Someone found a need and filled in, and I assume is being well rewarded for his or her efforts. It was well work the money to me, and congratulations on your success as an entrepreneur.

Very effective!
Ice Surrender does a terrific job of opening the frozen water line of our refrigerator water dispenser. It's easy to use, very effective, and far less expensive than paying a repairman. In the past, I used a space heater on the open freezer door which took a long time, compromised the frozen food, and actually warped the plastic door interior!I'd still like to know a good method for drying out the tube after use, though.

Well I'll be...
I have a GE side-by-side with a water line that freezes a couple times a year. Normally I take everything out and put it into insulated bags with ice packs and unplug the fridge for hours until it unclogs while going a little nutty with a hairdryer everywhere in the freezer because I have no idea where the blockage occurs.Since I just went through that a few weeks ago I couldn't bring myself to repeat the process the other day when it, of course, got blocked again. I found a YouTube video of this glorified post-wisdom tooth removal syringe with medical tubing at the end. I guess I didn't totally expect it to work, but to my delight it freaking did!!!I had to repeat the process about 6 times. For the 5th and 6th I made the water a bit hotter than the directions say, by about 15 seconds. I now have a functioning water dispenser again without having to remove a single item from my freezer. Awesome.I wish I'd saved the syringe from my wisdom tooth removal, but this was cheaper than buying a Brita fridge unit with spigot, which was my next plan.
