I believe that I have received a defective bottle. I keep reading of the great fragrance this product has and mine has none at all. The consistency is very similar to that of liquid soap and also has a foamy quality to it.

This in my opinion is the best natural product on the market

I have extremely curly, coarse, voluminous hair. I've searched all my life for products. This one makes my hair manageable and soft. Most people are surprised that I use any thing to create volume because I have naturally big hair, but this doesn't make it bigger--it separates the curls and makes them bouncy. It has the consistency of a very light gel rather than a lotion. It can be ever-so-slightly sticky depending on how much you use, but it's worth the control that it gives--a light control that looks natural and makes my hair behave. Also, there seems to be less build-up with this product as well.
